"Lawmaker to pay tax on N.H. liquor stop
A Massachusetts lawmaker who purchased tax-free liquor in New Hampshire after voting for a 6.25 percent tax on alcohol in his home state said he was not trying to evade taxes. Michael J. Rodrigues, a Westport Democrat, said he will pay the Massachusetts sales tax on the three bottles of hard liquor and two bottles of wine he and his wife bought.
That's an AWFUL LOT of BOOZE!
Couldn't WAIT until you GOT HOME and purchased it from a LOCAL PACKIE, 'eh?
He said he bought the alcohol during a bathroom break as he and his wife returned from a getaway last weekend. Someone noticed his “House 29’’ license plates and alerted the Boston Herald (AP)."
Yeah, and if a CITIZEN hadn't REPORTED IT?
Herald scooped you, 'eh, Globe?
Thank God for ARROGANT POLITICAL VANITY, huh?
A glass of water wouldn't do for the looter?
"Gloucester’s water problems persist; EPA steps in to offer advice" by Jack Nicas, Globe Correspondent | September 4, 2009
As orders to boil city water hit the two-week mark in Gloucester yesterday, the federal government took notice....
No, I guess not: Gloucester's Water Will Make You Gag
Tests since the problem was discovered show that the levels of coliform bacteria had been decreasing until they spiked Monday. On Tuesday, levels decreased again, but generally remained higher than last week’s readings. The bacteria can cause diarrhea and indicate the presence of other, more harmful germs.
Gloucester water has still been found to be free of E. coli or fecal matter, said Deputy Fire Chief Miles Schlichte, city spokesman on the water emergency....
So THEY SAY!
I'm sorry, but all the lies have ruined what "authorities" and "officials" say -- especially since government proves time and time again it is NOT WORKING FOR YOU!
It is GUILTY until PROVEN INNOCENT now.
It appears unlikely that relief will come for Gloucester residents over the Labor Day weekend....
Then take a swig of liquor. Asking the state rep for a bottle!
Among other steps, the city is releasing chlorine into the water supply to kill the bacteria, Schlichte said. Hopes are high that the steps will work, allowing residents to drink finally from their own faucets, he said....
I'd still buy bottled water from now on.

"Fast-food chain opens drive-through to bicyclists" by Kate Linthicum, Los Angeles Times | September 5, 2009
Somehow, those two things don't seem to go together.
PORTLAND, Ore. - Sarah Gilbert, a blogger with thousands of online followers, went home and Twittered huffily about the experience....
Twitter is not blogging. Limiting yourself to 140 characters is not a blog.
Portland’s bicycle advocates, connected by a network of electronic mailing lists and websites, soon rallied to the cause....
There was talk of a boycott.
The story was picked up by local news outlets....
Like Fwix?
How could that happen in Portland, the self-proclaimed bike capital of America, where nearly 8 percent of people pedal to work?
How could what happen?

You know, I NEVER WANT to hear the PIECE of CRAP NEWSPAPER complain about OBESITY again!
