"2 bicyclists dead after separate accidents
A Lowell man died Thursday of head injuries he sustained in a bicycle accident Wednesday, authorities said. He was the second state resident to die after being hit by a car while cycling that day. Aaron B. Shickman, 41, was struck on his bike by a sport utility vehicle at 1:35 p.m. on Middlesex Street in Lowell. About three hours earlier in Marshfield, Richard Campbell, 69, of Marshfield was killed when a sedan struck him near Green Harbor Marina, while he was crossing Dyke Road on his bike. Elizabeth Joyce, 23, of Marshfield was driving the car that struck Campbell, Marshfield police said. The Lowell driver’s name has not been released. Neither bicyclist was wearing a helmet, police said.
As if it was the biker's fault, right?
Charges have not been filed in either incident.
