Slow Saturday Special: Pakistan Proffers Top Taliban to U.S.

Latest related: Pakistan War Raging

This is what I get after three days of nothing?

Not like the paper is HIDING a WAR or anything!

"Top Taliban spokesman has been detained, Pakistan says; Announcement may have been timed for 9/11" by Jane Perlez and Pir Zubair Shah, New York Times | September 12, 2009

Excuse me? The SPOKESMAN?

What, they finally trace the calls?

Nope!

MINGORA, Pakistan - An account published yesterday in The News, a prominent English-language daily based in Karachi, said Khan was arrested eight days ago after he and four other men were lured to Islamabad by the military under the pretext of negotiations over how the Swat Valley would be governed....

Ooooh, they TRICKED the SPOKESMAN into coming to town under a PEACE PIPE and ARRESTED HIM.

So when did the TORTURE begin, huh?!

The Pakistani Army yesterday announced the arrest of the chief spokesman of the Taliban in Swat, the troubled area where the military has largely put down an insurgency.

That is such a fucking lie!

The spokesman, Muslim Khan, was often seen on Pakistani television trying to put the militant cause in a good light....

"The other representative of Taliban Muslim Khan sahib and Amir Izat khan sahib are ignorant people and people should try to send them first of all in the school and then in the college, so that they may be able to understand the international politics. According to their news statements, it seems that they are following Tim Usman (Osama Bin Laden, According to CIA documents Usama’s name was Tim Usman by J. Orlin Grabbe , Nov. 8, 2001 ) . So, anybody who would be following Tim Usman, he is following American CIA."

Make of it what you will.

The announcement appeared to be timed for the eighth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon, and to impress the Obama administration with the seriousness of the military endeavor here in Swat.

Ummm, HOW MUCH INNOCENT BLOOD is going to BE ENOUGH???!!!!

This is sick! It's all a GAME and STAGED PRODUCTION leading to REAL DEAD!

The Pakistani Army began an offensive in Swat in May, saying Taliban militants had taken advantage of a February peace deal to establish control over much of the territory.

Yeah, it never ended and was insisted upon by the U.S. (or the money is cut off).

I like peace deals.

The operation has drawn compliments from senior American commanders, who are now urging their Pakistani counterparts to extend their operations to Waziristan.

What, do you guys drink Muslim blood by the gallon or what?! Jesus!!!

Taliban militants in those remote border areas cross into Afghanistan to fight NATO-led forces, the Americans say.

I don't care what they do, they had NOTHING to do with that DAMNABLE INSIDE JOB!

Khan was arrested along with Mahmood Khan, a less senior commander, and three others, said the statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the press department of the Pakistani military.

The statement did not say when Khan was arrested. There were some suggestions from officials that the arrest took place some days ago, and that the announcement was delayed for the 9/11 anniversary.

Yeah, I already heard that.

A senior Pakistani military officer said that Khan was captured with five other militants six days ago in Tilgram, northeast of Mingora. The officer said that the men were transferred to Rawalpindi, the army’s headquarters, and that the announcement of the arrests was delayed because the prisoners were giving valuable intelligence....

Translation: They were being tortured!

Khan was deported from the United States after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Nothing more on that? Did he have a role, or.... ?

WTF would a TALIBAN SPOKESMAN be doing in AMERICA on 9/11?!!!!!

--more--"

Btw, I think the Pakistan voters are the winners in my poll.

Nothing officially declared by the MSM, but we are in there!

All quiet like, but.... "congratulations," voters.

(Brief!) Update:

"22 militants killed in Khyber region

Yup, securing those supply lines for us.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani forces reported killing 22 insurgents in an ongoing military operation in the Khyber region, officials said yesterday. Pakistan is under intense US pressure to crack down on Al Qaeda and Taliban militants along the Afghan border. Pakistan said more than 150 militants have been killed in its latest offensive, which began Sept. 1. The fighting has caused thousands of residents to flee (AP)."

Yeah, "latest" = ONE LONG OFFENSE!
