Oh, they got $45 BILLION in TAXPAYER LOOT, huh?

"Bank of America promises to keep giving; Foundation’s new leader expects to donate $200m" by Todd Wallack, Globe Staff | September 9, 2009

The new president of Bank of America Corp.’s national charitable foundation said the bank will continue to commit the same amount of money to civic and social endeavors this year, despite the recession and credit crisis that have slammed the financial sector.

The Boston-based foundation said it will have donated $200 million nationwide by the end of this year, including $13 million in Massachusetts - about the same as last year, said Kerry H. Sullivan, promoted to foundation president effective today.

Okay, they made $2.4 BILLION in PROFITS in ONE QUARTER and yet only $200 million is going for charity for the YEAR??

“The fact that we are keeping it steady in this economic downturn is very positive,’’ Sullivan said. Last year, Bank of America vowed to give $2 billion over 10 years - or $200 million a year....

In her new role, Sullivan said she is committed to helping increase coordination between the bank’s philanthropy and its employee volunteer programs.

She also plans to continue aiding organizations during the recession by using money that would have been spent on capital projects for health care organizations, food shelters, and other social services groups.

Which is fine, but did it have to be borrowed at interest for the taxpayer? Oh, yeah, right. Consider who we are dealing with here.

On a national level, the foundation focuses on neighborhood perservation, health and human services, education, and arts and culture.

Notice it is ALWAYS the SAME SET of INTERESTS at the BOTTOM of EVERY SCHEME!

In Massachusetts, the bank has worked to expand access to affordable housing, to provide children educational opportunities outside the traditional school day, and to support the arts....

Is THIS what you INTENDED BAILOUT $$$ to be USED FOR, America?

I'd give you think, but Firefox stinks so I had to use Safari today.
