Mass. Companies to Mandate Workers For Government Service

"If the country is to emerge from the recession with vital public service initiatives intact, employers should encourage workers to help bear the civic load....

As companies have tightened their belts, they have cut back on charitable donations. To counterbalance this, employers should encourage their workers to volunteer for service organizations and nonprofit groups."

Are they going to be paid for it? Government doesn't
rip us off enough as it is?

Where is THEIR TRILLION-DOLLAR BAILOUT, huh?

And if you SAY NO? A little black mark or a firing?

What we are looking at here, folks, is an AGENDA-PUSHING CALL for FASCISM -- although that should not be surprising coming from the
Boston Globe.

When I SEE SOME STINK EXECUTIVE out there with his sleeves rolled up and sweating his ass off, fine, he can do it.

Meanwhile, you know where to shove this piece of s***, Glob.

"With fewer giving of their time, firms should aid volunteerism

IN THESE hard times, many Americans are helping neighbors, friends, and relatives more than usual. But most are spending less time volunteering for service organizations and charities, suggests a recent report....

So the PAPER LIED, huh?

"Nonprofit groups around the country are reporting record-setting volunteer interest, helped in part by high unemployment that has given people more free time and resume gaps to fill."

"a time when more people are interested in serving their communities"

Must have only been a six-month commitment, huh?

Gee, that was only a month ago!

Yeah, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS when you are PUSHING a BULLS*** AGENDA!!

You get TRIPPED UP in your OWN S***, 'eh, Globe of s***?

If the country is to emerge from the recession with vital public service initiatives intact, employers should encourage workers to help bear the civic load.

They AREN'T BUSY and TIRED ENOUGH, huh?

See: The AmeriKan Slave

Yup, so it is -- as I have been saying -- YOUR FAULT, put-upon American if the RECOVERY FAILS!! YOUR FAULT for NOT GIVING ENOUGH -- as if YOUR TAXES and PROFIT-MAKING SWEAT meant NOTHING except STOLEN LOOT!!!!

Seventy-two percent of Americans cut back on volunteering and other civic activities as the country fell deep into recession, according to a May survey of 3,889 people conducted by the National Conference on Citizenship published last week.

Then the MARCH CRAPOLA was JUST THAT, wasn't it? ALL ANECDOTAL GARBAGE for the AGENDA-PUSHING CAUSE, 'eh?

A compelling explanation is that the economic crisis has led people to focus inward.

After the Globe told us THAT was the REASON for INCREASED VOLUNTEERISM!

“It’s only human to concentrate on your job when you feel your job might be vulnerable,’’ Jack and Suzy Welch write in a blog post on Business Week’s website. The decline in volunteering constrains groups that rely on volunteer labor and pro bono expertise to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, educate children, promote the arts, and protect the environment.

Oh, that is NOW YOUR FAULT because YOU DIDN'T VOLUNTEER, 'murkns!

And LOOK at all the AGENDA-PUSHING GARBAGE!!!

Arts, environment, ALL the AGENDA-PUSHING CAUSES are SUFFERING!!!!

Well YOU KNOW WHERE to GO to GET MONEY!

As companies have tightened their belts, they have cut back on charitable donations.

Well, TALK to the BANKS!!!

I've heard THEY MADE BILLIONS in PROFITS last quarter!

Maybe they could give up the $84 million in bonuses, huh?

Yeah, that's what I thought, Glob.

To counterbalance this, employers should encourage their workers to volunteer for service organizations and nonprofit groups, and assure them that doing so will not cost them their jobs.

Oh, so you can DO IT ON COMPANY TIME?

Where do I sign up?

When possible, companies should organize community outreach events and make scheduling allowances for volunteer work. Such measures are unlikely to diminish the bottom lines, and they could help keep important charities afloat.

Yeah, and WE KNOW WHICH AGENDA-PUSHING ONES they are!
