Wilson Shout Out Was a Set Up

"Obama speech disrupter a health industry darling Wilson is a major recipient of contributions from the health care industry.

"Was this staged to help Obama sell his plan? Because if everyone is going to be forced to purchase health insurance from for-profit companies, who will then pay the bills for health care, cash flow into the health care as a whole will go UP! It doesn't make sense for someone getting money from the health care system to shout down Obama, unless it is to build sympathy." -- Wake the Flock Up

Good question, good points.

MSM confirms his diagnosis as they have been running with this story for days now.

"Wilson was the best thing that happened to Obama."

Uh-hunh?

".... The intensity the debate has generated was on vivid display last night, even within the ornate confines of the crowded House chamber: “You lie!’’ shouted Republican Representative Joseph Wilson of South Carolina when Obama said the health care plan would not result in coverage for illegal immigrants.

Such an outburst is virtually unheard of during a president’s speech to Congress, and it produced gasps in the chamber.

Yeah, as if a president never lied before!!!

Have they SO QUICKLY FORGOTTEN YOU, Georgie!?

Wilson later issued a statement apologizing for letting his emotions get the better of him, calling his remark “inappropriate and regrettable.’’ He also called the White House personally to say he was sorry...."

Yeah, except OBAMA DID LIE!

"No matter what happens with the legislation, undocumented immigrants will almost certainly still be able to obtain care in emergency rooms, a major burden in some parts of the country."

And before you hurl the racist charge it would
not be a problem in my world; however, the GLOBALIZATION ASPECT and the ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES (here and there, readers; I want them to live healthy, happy lives at home. Who wants to leave home?) trouble me.

But back to this kerfluffle....

"Outburst puts day’s focus on S.C. lawmaker; Breach of protocol stuns both parties" by Susan Milligan, Globe Staff | September 11, 2009

WASHINGTON - Wilson’s statement on Wednesday was reminiscent of some town hall meetings in local districts during the summer recess, when Republican skeptics of the health care proposal gained ground as hecklers shouted down Democratic lawmakers and accused Obama of engineering a “government takeover’’ of health care....

Yeah, get the hatchet out, ouch. When it's Obama's thugs, that's okay. And it's not even partisan; people are sick of the condescension and the looting of the politicians.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that Wilson had violated House rules, and that she had been slipped a piece of paper during Obama’s speech from the House parliamentarian, telling her what her options were.

I didn't see that during the speech.

Oh, right, I DIDN'T WATCH the SPEECH!

I DON'T WATCH that s*** anymore. It makes me sick.

But Pelosi said yesterday she decided to let the speech continue, adding that she is not interested in pursuing disciplinary action against Wilson....

Oh, good, can we MOVE ON then?

I didn't mean here.

"Obama presses legislators to pass bill on interim senator; Lawmakers still split on altering law, Murray says" by Jim O’Sullivan and Michael Norton, State House News Service | September 11, 2009

.... Senate President Therese Murray, who has been quiet on the proposal, said after a three-hour Democratic caucus that the heckling Obama received during a congressional address Wednesday might have influenced state legislators to support the temporary appointment, motivated by hopes for federal health care legislation....

No it didn't!

Related: Mass. Hypocrisy in Full Flower

A new poll released yesterday shows declining support for an interim senator law, with respondents roughly split.

Oh, and now this helped, huh?

What a cui bono coincidence.

Legislative leaders continue to say publicly they are digesting input around the law change, which Kennedy requested in a letter delivered to Patrick and legislative leaders a week before he died.

After he got it changed after 200+ years five years ago because Repub Romney could have replaced Kerry had he defeated Bush.

Murray said there was “no resolution’’ after yesterday’s meeting, but pointed to US Representative Joseph Wilson’s shouted accusation that Obama had lied about details of the federal health care legislation as a pivot point.

“There’s a lot of outrage about that and the way he was treated, which I think might have moved some people to the other side,’’ Murray told reporters....

No. Nope. No. No. Sorry, nope.

But back to the topic at hand:

WASHINGTON - Kent Conrad, the Senate Budget Committee chairman, a moderate from North Dakota, and one of the Gang of Six, said talks yesterday dealt in part with some of the more volatile side issues in the legislation that he called “very major elements of things to be concluded’’ - concerning abortion, illegal immigrants, and medical malpractice reform.

Conrad said the negotiators were trying to make sure that illegal immigrants could not take advantage of any new government benefits....

These DemocraPs are something, huh/ They HOLLER UNFAIR and UNTRUE and it turns out the LEGISLATION HASN'T EVEN BEEN WRITTEN and MAY NOT WORK!!!

"Senate health talks focus on illegal immigrants; Negotiators discuss rules to bar coverage" by Erica Werner and Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, Associated Press | September 12, 2009

WASHINGTON - Senate negotiators closing in on a comprehensive health care bill have whittled away all but the most contentious issues and one of those loomed large yesterday: coverage for illegal immigrants.

The negotiators thought they had settled the issue, but that was before Representative Joe Wilson of South Carolina shouted “You lie!’’ at President Obama when the president said in his speech to Congress that illegal immigrants wouldn’t be covered under his health plan.

Oh, so WILSON WAS RIGHT -- just like the OTHER JOE WILSON. You know, the OUTED CIA AGENT VALERIE PLAME'S HUSBAND!

That led the senators to revisit the issue to make sure they have provisions in place to enforce prohibitions against illegal residents getting federally subsidized coverage.

Telling us they did and they didn't.

“What we are trying to prevent is anyone who is here illegally from getting any federal benefit,’’ said Senator Kent Conrad of North Dakota, a member of the “Gang of Six’’ of three Democratic and three Republican members of the Senate Finance Committee.

Yup, they are a GANG now!!!

I agree! What do gangs do? Loot, plunder, pillage, and steal?

The White House says that Obama does not want illegal immigrants to be able to buy insurance through the new purchasing exchange he proposes. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said yesterday that the administration will work with lawmakers on language to enforce that.

Pass that salt please; I need a grain.

The House health bill expressly prohibits federal subsidies for illegal immigrants, but critics note that there are no enforcement mechanisms or language on how to verify whether someone is in this country legally....

Which would be fine with me if it were single-payer like those other countries, and wasn't part of the economic agenda of the NWO set.

Democrats in two House committees defeated amendments that would have required verification of legal status, saying such measures create barriers to legal residents getting the health coverage they need....

Legal residents?

What barriers do they face -- other than HAVING TO SHOW MY HEALTH CARD or DRIVERS LICENSE?

--more--"

What's more, the illegals will get the care because the agenda-pushers and their puppet politicians care more about them than the citizens of this nation -- including immigrants who DID IT the RIGHT WAY, the LEGAL WAY!

"After a particularly angry and contentious week in Washington - which included a GOP congressman yelling “You lie!’’ to Obama during a formal presidential address...."

They just won't let it go, will they?
