Honduran Coup Complete

That's why the country doesn't make the news much anymore.

And you would think this man was somehow the most important Honduran alive, huh? Globe certainly makes me feel that way.

"Deal reached to give ousted Honduran leader refuge in Dominican Republic" by Associated Press | January 21, 2010

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic - The Dominican government said yesterday that it has reached a deal with Honduras’s president-elect to offer ousted leader Manuel Zelaya safe passage to the Caribbean nation....

President-elect Porfirio Lobo said he was confident that Honduras’s political crisis would ease after his inauguration. “We must all forgive,’’ he said....

Unreal. I never will.

Zelaya was toppled in a June 28 military-backed coup and flown into exile. But he later sneaked back into Honduras and took refuge in the embassy, starting a monthslong standoff with the interim government.

Yeah, Zelaya started it, right.

And you got the destination wrong, MSM

"Ousted Honduran president to go to Mexico" by Associated Press | January 23, 2010

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras - Ousted President Manuel Zelaya will leave the Brazilian Embassy next week and travel to the Dominican Republic before settling in Mexico and planning his eventual return to Honduras, an aide said in an interview published yesterday.

????

Zelaya seems destined to continue what has been a peripatetic existence since he was ousted in a coup last June. After being hustled out of the country by his own soldiers, he traveled across much of Latin America seeking support for his reinstatement before sneaking back into Honduras in September and taking refuge at Brazil’s embassy....

Just sort of fell of the old MSM radar screen, didn't it?
