Massachusetts Justice: SWAT Needed For City Stealer

Is Boston under military occupation?

"the SWAT team fired two shots during the raid, in which they executed a “no knock’’ search warrant"

And why did they have to do that?

"City worker accused of ties to store robberies; SWAT team raids his apartment, recovers gun" by John M. Guilfoil, Globe Staff | January 13, 2010

A 24-year-old city worker faces gun and robbery charges in connection with two convenience store heists in the area, Boston police said yesterday.

Miguel Vargas, 24, an employee of the Department of Public Works, was arrested after a police SWAT team raided his apartment on Faneuil Street in Brighton yesterday....

SWAT needed for a petty thief?

A police officer attached to the SWAT team fired two shots during the raid, in which they executed a “no knock’’ search warrant.

This is why you need them, huh?

In a statement released yesterday, police said a pit bull attacked police when they entered the apartment, and the officer, a sergeant whose name was not released, fired two shots from his .45 caliber pistol. He missed the dog, but officers cornered it in a bathroom and secured it. The dog was turned over to Boston Animal Control....

Any independent witnesses?

Police obtained the search warrant after an investigation led them to Vargas. Fearing he would be armed, police opted for the “no knock’’ warrant, which is issued when a judge believes there is a strong possibility that the suspect inside will be armed or has recently shown a propensity for violence or that evidence may be destroyed if the suspect is not taken by surprise....

Of which NONE apply here!!

So they are just COMING UP with EXCUSES to BUST DOWN DOORS in BOSTON, huh?

Couldn't have ARRESTED THIS GUY at WORK, huh?

And how much can you get out of a convenience store, anyway?

A few hundred? Glob never says.
