"Israel, Turkey repair diplomatic ties" by Associated Press | January 18, 2010
ANKARA, Turkey - Israel and Turkey said they had smoothed over differences yesterday following a diplomatic spat and were working to develop relations and further military projects.
Not good news for the world.
After daylong talks with Turkish officials, Defense Minister Ehud Barak of Israel said the countries managed to move beyond a disagreement after Israel apologized for its treatment of the Turkish ambassador. Barak is the first Israeli official to visit Turkey since a diplomatic feud erupted last week after Israel’s deputy foreign minister, Danny Ayalon, summoned the ambassador to complain about a TV show depicting Israeli agents kidnapping children and shooting old men. The ambassador, Ahmet Oguz Celikkol, was forced to sit on a low sofa without a handshake, while Ayalon told local TV stations that the humiliation was intentional. Outraged, Turkey threatened to recall the ambassador, forcing Ayalon to apologize.
“I believe it was a mistake, and the right step was taken according to the norms of diplomacy,’’ Barak said. “It is appropriate that all the ups and downs in our relationship over the years should be solved and put behind us.’’
No, mistakes are NOT INTENTIONAL! So no real apology, huh?
Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul of Turkey did not address the diplomatic spat directly but called Israel a “neighbor’’ and “strategic ally’’ with which Turkey had common interests. “We are living in the same area, and although we don’t have common borders, we have the same interests,’’ Gonul said.
Like what?
Asked to comment on relations with Israel, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he was satisfied with Barak’s labeling the treatment a mistake and said Turkey would not pursue the issue any further. Gonul said Turkey and Israel had completed seven of 13 military projects, including the upgrade of F-4 and F-5 jets.
Oh, that's why the Turks are looking the other way on this.
Israel is to deliver 10 Heron unmanned aircraft to Turkey in the first half of this year, Gonul added. Turkey hopes to use the drones to monitor Kurdish rebel hideouts.
Oh, so ISRAEL pulled the old DOUBLE-CROSS on the Kurds again, huh?

And then consider this:
"In the 1930's, the revolutionary secularist leader, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, invited many eminent Jewish professors to escape persecution in Germany and settle in Turkey, and during the war provided a safe passage for many to Palestine."

Now I finally understand the vague, obfuscating, and strangely censored articles about Turkey, Israel in the Zionist AmeriKan MSM.

"'Explosive' Sibel Edmonds Cover Story at 'The American Conservative'
There’s a new issue of The American Conservative going to press today, and it includes a story that will make more than a few congressmen and foreign lobbyists intensely uncomfortable: an in-depth interview between Phil Giraldi and FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds. She tells us exactly how Turkish intelligence have penetrated national secrets, suborned government officials, and blackmailed Congress. It’s going to be explosive.

"Turkey detains 120 in antiterror raids" by Associated Press | January 23, 2010
ANKARA, Turkey - Police launched a nationwide crackdown on suspected militants linked to the Al Qaeda terrorist network yesterday, rounding up 120 people in simultaneous predawn raids, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.
"Al-CIA-Duh" again, huh?
What if there is no Al Qaeda?
What if Al Qaeda doesn't even exist?

"Al-CIA-Duh," right. It was not clear whether yesterday’s raids in 16 provinces in Turkey, a member of NATO and an ally of the West, would amount to a major blow to home-grown Islamic militants. Yeni Safak newspaper reported this week that Turkish police had recently seized video recordings of alleged Turkish Al Qaeda militants in Taliban camps in Afghanistan, as well as alleged plans for attacks on Turkish soldiers in Kabul and on police in Turkey.
PFFFFFFFFTTT!
Turkey has an "Al-CIA-Duh" studio, too, huh?
Turkey, NATO’s sole Muslim member, took over the rotating command of the NATO peacekeeping operation in Kabul in November and doubled its number of troops to about 1,750.
Yesterday’s crackdown follows another raid on suspected militants in Ankara and Adana last week in which police rounded up and interrogated about 40 people and reportedly seized documents detailing Al Qaeda activities. Twenty-five of them were charged with membership in a terrorist organization.
