"Fort Hood suspect’s hearing to be open" by Associated Press | September 17, 2010
FORT HOOD, Texas — Colonel James L. Pohl, a military judge acting as the investigating officer in the case, said that keeping next month’s hearing open would preserve the integrity of the military justice system....
Tell that to the "terrorists."
Pohl said some Article 32 hearings are closed, but usually by the government or when involving sexual assault cases. Military prosecutors did not want Hasan’s hearing closed....

"Man learns he was abducted as a child" by Associated Press |
September 18, 2010
BEDFORD, Texas — A
20-year-old man who authorities say was
abducted by his father 17 years ago during a messy divorce apparently
read a newspaper article about his disappearance and persuaded his father to turn himself in.
Stephen Michael Palacios will soon be reunited with his mother, Dee Ann Adams, after almost two decades apart. He and his father, Stephen Palacios Jr., went to a Houston attorney’s office Thursday where the father surrendered to federal authorities. The father was being held yesterday on charges of interference with child custody.
Adams, who had
remarried and has several other children, said she was happy but overwhelmed....
It was an Aug. 29 story in the newspaper that led to the break in the case, Adams told the paper. She said her son read an article about his abduction in which police were asking the public for help, and he insisted that his father surrender.
Stephen Michael was reported missing on March 28, 1993....
A warrant was issued for the father and detectives
tracked down several leads over the years to
no avail.
I'm just wondering what police actually do other than frame people and lie about things?
