"Yale apologizes for foamy chemical discharge
Yale University has apologized for a chemical foam discharge from the school's West Haven campus that killed some fish and eels in the Oyster River. Spokesman William Hathaway said Wednesday that despite killing some wildlife, the foam mixture will have a minimal effect on the environment and isn't a health threat to people or animals.

Local fire officials say tens of thousands of gallons of a foam-water mixture spilled out of a Yale storage building and into the river Tuesday. Officials say a water pipe broke, and the leaking water mixed with fire protection system foam that had spilled from a tank. Authorities say the foam is 94 percent water and 6 percent butyl carbitol, which OSHA says is a skin, eye, and mucous membrane irritant. State officials are overseeing the river cleanup.
Oh that makes me feel a whole pile better.
