"Mass. swim coach faces federal child porn charge
A North Attleborough man who coached swimming at an area high school and a local YMCA has been charged in federal court with receipt and possession of child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say Timothy Kelly was charged Thursday with four counts of receiving child pornography and possession of child pornography. His attorney, John MacDonald, did not immediately return a call seeking comment after business hours. Prosecutors allege that on Dec. 23, 2006, Kelly knowingly received images of children engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Authorities also claim that the 39-year-old knowingly possessed other images on June 22, 2009. Kelly previously worked as the swim coach at North Attleborough High School and aquatics director at the Attleboro YMCA. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine if convicted on all charges.
