A Lunenburg woman allegedly attacked her boyfriend with an ax inside their home early Wednesday and damaged a neighbor’s home before she was taken into custody by arriving police officers, officials said.
The Worcester district attorney’s office said Rhonda Ravanis attacked her boyfriend, 53-year-old Robert J. Volpe, with an ax.
When police arrived at the South Row Road residence they found that Volpe had been injured. They also found that Ravanis had allegedly broken a window and damaged a door at her neighbor’s house, prosecutors said.
Volpe was rushed just after 1 a.m. to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where he is in critical condition, prosecutors said.
According to prosecutors, Ravanis refused to cooperate in Fitchburg District Court....
