HONOLULU — Six years into his presidency, there seems to be almost nothing the nation does not know about President Obama, ranging from his views on the use of drones to target terrorists to how his daughters have less interest in hanging out with him as they become teenagers.
Yeah, right.

Oh, I forgot what I was reading for a second.
But little is known about the state of his game and what he is like on the golf course.
And one cares even less.
At this point, one realizes the paper is written of and for elites only.

The news media is only occasionally allowed to see him with a club in his hands. During one of the president’s rounds on his vacation in Hawaii over the past two weeks, photographers were invited to watch as Obama and the prime minister of Malaysia three-putted the 18th green.

Before he headed out for the golf course a handful of protesters stood outside the entrance of the vacation home Sunday, holding signs that read ‘‘Close Guantanamo now’’ and ‘‘No more drone killings,’’ taking little notice of the heavy security."

Few golfers who have played with Obama have spoken publicly about his game, but interviews with three people who have played with him, hints he has dropped, and videos of his left-handed swing analyzed by golf professionals begin to provide a portrait of his demeanor and skill.

Obama counts all his strokes and does not like to talk about politics. He has played for money. And, no, he does not make the Secret Service look for his errant shots....
In October, the president’s acumen got national attention when the retired basketball star Michael Jordan, who is a good golfer, dropped a verbal bomb about Obama’s skills. Responding to a question about his ideal foursome, Jordan said it would not include Obama because “he’s a hack, man. It’d be all day playing with him.”
“I never said he wasn’t a great politician,” said Jordan, who then used an expletive to describe Obama’s game.
The president later shot back....
While Jordan’s assessment may have been true a few years ago, clues have seeped out in recent months that Obama consistently scores in the 80s now.
In an interview with Thomas L. Friedman of The New York Times in August, Obama crowed that he had just had the lowest round of his life....

He was golfing when he proposed a no-fly zone over Iraq, too.
Golf was the source of some of Obama’s most uncomfortable moments in 2014. During his vacation on Martha’s Vineyard in August, after he had addressed the nation about an American journalist who had been beheaded in Syria by the Islamic State, he played 18 holes. He later said he regretted the decision.
Why? It was a fake video made for propaganda purposes.
Don Van Natta Jr., an ESPN reporter and author of “First Off the Tee: Presidential Hackers, Duffers and Cheaters From Taft to Bush,” said that even before that round, Obama had been criticized more than any other president for playing golf.
“It hasn’t curtailed his schedule,” Van Natta said. “This in itself shows how important the game has become for him. On the morning bin Laden was killed, Obama squeezed in nine holes of golf. In a way, the day was a rebuttal to all the criticism of Obama’s golf and the round counting because it showed he can hit the links and still do his job as commander in chief.”
Putting aside the lie regarding bin Laden, it is such a telling thing that Obama can squeak in some golf and still do his "job." That means killing people.
One wonders what his body count is compared to past presidents at this point -- wondering because it is something never discussed.
