"A former elementary school teacher in Cambridge and Somerville received a 12-year prison term Monday for child pornography offenses, authorities said. Josh Wairi, 28, was sentenced in federal court in Boston, US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz’s office said in a statement. Prosecutors said Wairi used an e-mail account to trade and receive images of children engaged in sexual conduct. He was convicted in May on charges of possessing and transporting child pornography but acquitted of additional counts alleging that he produced illicit images. Wairi had taught at the Graham and Parks School in Cambridge and the Arthur D. Healey School in Somerville."
