"A former Merrimack College professor who worked as an administrator of the college’s summer camp for middle and high school students pleaded guilty Wednesday to possessing child pornography. Gary S. Spring, 62, entered his plea in US District Court in Boston, records show. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 9. According to legal filings, Spring used work and personal computers to access images of child pornography. The college fired him shortly after he was charged in September 2014. He had also served as chairman of Merrimack’s civil engineering department, according to prosecutors."
