"An 18-year-old man was ordered held on $50,000 cash bail Thursday after being charged with raping a female student this week in a wooded area near Framingham High School, according to prosecutors. Patrick Cowart allegedly raped the student on Wednesday. Framingham High administrators had noticed the student missing from an afternoon class, and later found her disoriented nearby. The student was taken to a hospital and investigators “were informed that the defendant allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim without her consent,” according to the office of Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan. Cowart was arraigned in Framingham District Court, prosecutors said."
