Casinos Roll Crap

But Massachusetts wants them anyway!

Chasing a golden goose and only catching the sh**!!!!!

"Casino foes act as gambling gains momentum" by Matt Viser, Globe Staff | February 10, 2009

Casino opponents are beginning to mobilize as they seek to stem what appears to be a growing appetite for gambling on Beacon Hill.

Casino Free Mass, a consortium of well-connected groups that oppose expanded gambling, sent a letter to all legislators yesterday railing against "a technological heroin" and urging them to "hold firm against this reincarnation of a bad idea."

Yeah, never mind that US VOTERS REJECTED GAMBLING LAST TIME AROUND, you lying, looting legislators!

"A state with a proud progressive tradition should not be endorsing - and profiting from - an industry that systematically destroys lives," wrote the group's president, Richard Young....

Those days are long gone, sir.

We are no longer proud progressives; not when you see things like this:

Massachusetts Hates Its Homeless

Massachusetts Hates Its Elders

And just a COINCIDENCE that it is JEWS that are the PROPRIETORS of the CASINO and GAMBLING INTERESTS, huh?

**************

One potential hitch is that the gambling industry has struggled recently. Revenues are declining at the Native American casinos in Connecticut. The Twin River slot parlor in Rhode Island has defaulted on its debt obligations.

And WE KNOW who OWNS THAT!!

Why do SOL KERZNER and LEN WOLMAN OWN ALL the GAMBLING HOUSES in NEW ENGLAND?

It is still unclear which casino developers would seek to locate in Massachusetts. The owners of Suffolk Downs, which was the front-runner to build a casino in the Boston area, remain interested in a license and strengthened their position several months ago by forming a partnership with Wonderland Greyhound Park in Revere. The Mashpee Wampanoag tribe has been trying to build a casino in Middleborough using its rights as a federally recognized tribe, and the owners of Mohegan Sun in Connecticut have been laying groundwork for a Palmer casino.

Just wondering why SOL and FRIEND don't receive any mention here.

And they want to build in PALMER? Keep 'em OUT of MY PART of the STATE, will ya?

But several of the national casino developers who expressed interest last year - including Sheldon Adelson, a Dorchester native and chief executive of Las Vegas Sands, and Harrah's, run by Massachusetts resident Gary Loveman - have been struggling with the economy and have yet to revive their courtship in Massachusetts visibly.

Which means they VERY WELL MAY BE INVISIBLY, huh, Globe!

It's JEWS like "Sheldon Adelson, chief executive of Las Vegas Sands and the world's third richest man" and Sol Kerzner that PROFIT off GAMBLING (once again, ZIONIST INTERESTS driving IMMORALITY)!!!!

Rhode Island First State to Bail Out Casinos

No, our state doesn't need to be bailing out Jewish mobsters.

We do enough of
that already.

But the casinos will BRING JOBS, right? Right?

"Slots slip, chips are down, and casino workers suffer" by Gregory B. Hladky, Globe Correspondent | February 11, 2009

MONTVILLE, Conn. - The dazzling ranks of slot machines, the click of poker chips, and the hypnotic whirl of roulette wheels at the Mohegan Sun casino seem a solar system away from the bleak recession winter outside.

But workers on the Mohegan tribal reservation know that's not true. On Feb. 1, most took a 4 percent pay cut. Midlevel managers' salaries declined 7.5 percent, and top executives lost one-tenth of their compensation packages.

A $734 million expansion project has been halted, and the casino has whittled away 600 jobs by attrition since the summer. For many employees, pay rollbacks are a big relief.

"I was pretty grateful not to get a pink slip in my mailbox," said Julie Bojarski, a 47- year-old cashier from Ledyard who has worked at the casino for nine years.

Just a few miles across the Thames River, Foxwoods Resort Casino, a rival establishment on the Mashantucket Pequot reservation, has laid off about 800 employees. State and regional officials estimate three-quarters of those workers were from Connecticut, 20 percent from Rhode Island, and the rest from Massachusetts and other states.

Economists such as Peter Gioia of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association say the ripple effect from the downturn at Connecticut's massive tribal casinos is hurting the entire region.

That's why I don't want the blood-sucking vampires here. How much you wanna bet all that loot ended up in Israeli banks as they bled us dry? I knew there was a reason the casino environment didn't appeal to me when I saw Jon (Jew) Stewart there (and now that makes sense, too).

"It's eliminating millions and millions of dollars of income that equates to purchasing power in other industries," Gioia said. Restaurants, construction companies, gas stations, grocery stores, and other service businesses have been affected, he said.

"It is not a minor impact," said Gioia.

The loss of gambling revenue is also stinging a state government facing a deficit of more than $1 billion. Connecticut's 25 percent share of slot machine revenues, long considered a sure-fire cash source, plunged by more than $18 million during the last six months of 2008, compared with the same period in 2007. Officials at Mohegan Sun reported that the casino's revenues for the final quarter of 2008 dropped to $273 million, 10.4 percent below the same period in 2007.

Well, the A**HOLES from down south shouldn't have hooked their star to Jewish mobsters!

"I'm surprised at the depth of the problem," Governor M. Jodi Rell said recently about the decline in slot revenues, the first time that has happened since the casinos opened. "People aren't buying anything. They don't have the disposable income right now."

Not to pour into the pockets of some Jewish mobsters, no.

Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods are the largest employers in Eastern Connecticut, with a combined workforce of nearly 20,000 employees. In recent recessions, the casinos acted as economic buffers for the region, maintaining employment while other industries suffered cutbacks, Gioia said.

Yeah, IMMORALITY, GREED, and PLUNDERING of the POOR is GOOD for JOBS!!

These kind of "jobs" we DO NOT NEED!

This time, the financial crisis has struck directly at many of the casinos' core customers.

"Anytime you go to the casinos, you see the blue-haired crowd," Gioia said, referring to older gamblers. "They live off the interest on their CDs, stocks, and other investments, and all of those have been clobbered. They feel a lot poorer."

Yeah, I remember seeing them down there and thinking "what scum."

***************

In Atlantic City and Las Vegas, casinos have laid off or reduced the hours of thousands of employees. In Rhode Island, the situation has become so dire that state officials are considering a takeover of Twin River, a gambling facility that is facing possible bankruptcy.

Funny how Sol and Len's names don't come up again, hmmm?

The industry's downturn has also damaged chances for casino gambling in Massachusetts, at least in the short term, although the election of a new gambling-friendly House speaker could change that dynamic....

NO MENTION of the CITIZEN'S REJECTION of GAMBLING last November, either!!!

Yeah, WHO GIVES a SHIT about what VOTERS SAID, 'eh, Globe?

--more--"

I guess THAT'S WHY the JEWISH MAFIA MOUTHPIECE of the GLOBE was going after DiMasi -- he stood in the way of powerful Jewish looters, 'er, interests.
