Did You Forget About Davos?

I didn't:

"Ministers set global trade deal as '09 goal" by Reuters | February 1, 2009

DAVOS, Switzerland - Key trade ministers agreed yesterday to step up efforts to reach a new global trade deal and guard against protectionism to help pull the world out of economic crisis.

Yeah, the guys whom caused the problems are going to fix them -- with what caused the problems in the first place.

With the world economy in its worst state since World War II, ministers met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort of Davos.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Britain said unease about the financial crisis was no reason to retreat into protectionism and fear. "This is not like the 1930s," he said. "The world can come together."

That's what got us into this mess, you globalist slob.

Japan's prime minister, Taro Aso, called for a drop in trade barriers, saying the global downturn called for meticulous and far-reaching efforts. Aso said wealthy nations, including oil-producers in the Middle East, must help fortify smaller countries and help strike a balance between competition and compassion.

Why should THEY have to do it?

You want it done, SHARE some of YOUR WEALTH, globalist scum!!!!

Ministers from 17 economies plus the 27-member European Union said completing the World Trade Organization's long-running Doha round to open up global trade was their top priority, and progress in 2008 meant remaining gaps could be closed this year.

Translation; They are WORKING on the NEO-CON PLAN for GLOBAL GOVERNMENT!

But they did not agree on a date for ministers from the WTO to seek an agreement, in part because the new US administration does not yet have a confirmed trade representative....

And what would a globalist meeting be without some fart mist from the global-warming crowd?

"Obama urged not to neglect climate" by Associated Press | February 1, 2009

DAVOS, Switzerland - Don't put off action on global warming just because times are lean. That's the message Al Gore, world environmental leaders, and American executives are sending to President Obama.

Worries are mounting that economic troubles are sapping momentum, in the US Congress and in other world capitals, for costly investment in clean energy and cutting carbon emissions.

"Gore said the single most important policy change would be placing a carbon tax on burning oil and coal."

"The oceans are being choked off of oxygen. They are dying as a result of this process we are seeing before our eyes the melting of the polar ice cap," Gore said at the World Economic Forum in Davos. "The assumption that we can continue on this path is an assumption that is collapsing."

No, YOUR LYING BULLSHIT is what is CRATERING, Al!!!

Many countries are looking to Obama for aggressive action after frustration at the Bush administration's refusal to sign international pacts on reducing emissions of carbon, blamed for global warming....

Umm, yeah: Gore Gasses Up D.C. As Nation Freezes

The ICE RINK passing as a STREET is STILL OUT FRONT -- and it ain't nowhere near the 40-degrees they promised us today.

What a shocker, huh?

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot:

"At forum, a plea to not forget the poor

DAVOS, Switzerland - The world's poor didn't have seats at the elite World Economic Forum, but the political and corporate leaders gathered here heard fervent appeals on their behalf - to not forget the "bottom billion" even as governments strain budgets to bail out their financial systems.

We know what is planned for them.

"Last year, we gathered here to declare 2008 the year of the bottom billion," UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said. "These are the poorest people who live on less than a dollar a day, who are vulnerable to every shock that comes. As we struggle to cover these and other challenges we must not waiver in our commitment to the poorest of the poor. We must stand by those who are most vulnerable."

It was an appeal repeated throughout the third day of the elite gathering of 2,500 business and political leaders in this well-heeled mountain resort....

And one I do not take seriously at all. Here is why:

"Every table was set with a single fresh rose (from the rose gardens outside, I was told) and a full complement of three forks, two knives, and two spoons in silver plate..... The buffet tables could have graced a high-end ocean liner. I watched a gentleman in colorful African garb pile his plate with slices of roast sirloin and potatoes mashed with feta cheese. A post-retirement-age couple from the East Side scarfed up most of the egg rolls, though more came out quickly....

I made for the roast leg of lamb with rosemary sauce after I filled my salad plate with chilled asparagus and slices of a duck and pork terrine.... fresh tomato soup and bowls of pasta primavera.... The dessert buffet table practically groaned under a spread of apple and pumpkin pies, cheesecakes, tarts, half a dozen cheeses, sliced fruits, bowls of berries, and, off to one side, three urns of ice cream"

And that was just for LUNCH!

Yup, THOSE FAT HOGS are working for the poor, yup!

Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Britain said lending to emerging countries would drop from $1 trillion two years ago to $150 billion next year. "This is a breach of the promise of global prosperity," Brown said.

Go have another egg roll, you fat turd!
