Making Movies in Massachusetts

Okay, before you read this remember that this state is already "flushing . . . millions of dollars away supporting a highly profitable industry" when it comes to $300 million in taxpayer dollars for Hollywood while we pay for their TV commercials.

And recall that
:

"Town officials... are trying to decide how much of a property tax break to offer and how they can secure state funding for infrastructure improvements.... although it could take several years for the studio to realize its potential"

"Movie studio project gets OK on road

The state's environmental chief has cleared the way for a proposed movie studio in Plymouth to move to the design and permitting phase. Environmental Affairs Secretary Ian Bowles granted Plymouth Rock Studios a final waiver yesterday to build an access road and related infrastructure before completing the environmental impact report.

Yeah, and WHOSE PAYING FOR IT, Globe?

WHY the
OMISSION?

Plymouth Rock Studios is expected to have 14 sound stages, a theater, and a 300-room hotel in a village center on a 242-acre site. Supporters say the project could create more than 2,000 jobs (AP)."

After SEVERAL YEARS, right?

Pfffffftt!

And LOSE US TAXPAYERS $$$ in the PROCESS -- so
JEWWOOD can be SUBSIDIZED!!
