"Ship company to pay $2.5m pollution fine
A Spanish ship management company has agreed to pay a $2.5 million fine after pleading guilty in US District Court in Boston on Monday to charges that one of its vessels unlawfully discharged oil-contaminated bilge waste on the high seas, prosecutors said. Madrid-based Consultores de Navegacion S.A. will serve three years probation and be required to implement an environmental compliance plan for its vessels (AP)."
