CUI BONO, folks?

"Al Qaeda in Iraq revives pipeline through Syria after long hiatus; White House exploring talks with Damascus" by Karen DeYoung, Washington Post | May 11, 2009

WASHINGTON - What American officials had suspected: After a long hiatus, the Syrian pipeline operated by the organization Al Qaeda in Iraq is back in business.

The revival of a transit route that officials had declared all but closed comes as the Obama administration is exploring a new diplomatic dialogue with Syria even as Washington remains concerned by Syrian activities - including ongoing support for the militant groups Hezbollah and Hamas as well as activities involving Iraq....

Yeah, isn't that a coincidence that this pops up at just the right time, 'eh?

I guess the surge failed, huh?

An just to give you a flavor of how often we see or read about "Al-CIA-Duh" here, world, let me add these:

ROME - Italian prosecutors have accused two men, arrested last year on suspicion of being linked to trafficking in illegal immigrants, of being leading Al Qaeda figures in Europe involved in training militants for suicide attacks.

Police in the southern city of Bari said yesterday the two men, identified as Syrian imam Bassam Ayachi and French computer engineer Raphael Gendron, played a leading role in "communication, transmission, and propaganda" for Al Qaeda.

So they were CIA agents, huh?

They were arrested by Italian police in November 2008 on suspicion of trying to smuggle five illegal immigrants into Italy. Among the documents found on them was the will of a would-be suicide attacker, police said.

Here we go again!

Prosecutors issued new arrest warrants accusing the two of criminal association linked to international terrorism. "We are extremely satisfied to have stopped the masterminds, the heads of the organization, the people who educated would-be suicide attackers in the name of jihad," said Stanislao Chimera, head of the Digos antiterrorist squad in Bari.

I didn't know he was in Washington.

Documents found in their possession mentioned attacks in France and Britain, "but as a mere possibility, without anything concrete or any immediate threat," Claudio Galzerano of Ucigos, another police antiterrorism unit, said.

Like all "terrorist" threats -- until the government lets them go live.

Ask the Italians about Gladio and false flags sometime.

CAIRO - A senior Al Qaeda militant who was held by the United States in secret prisons and once gave information about links between Al Qaeda and Iraq that was later deemed false has reportedly died in a prison in Libya, according to a Libyan newspaper and an Islamic activist in London.

Oh, HOW CONVENIENT!!! Khadafy trying further himself in our good graces?

Human Rights Watch yesterday called on Libya to investigate the death of Ali Mohammed Abdel-Aziz al-Fakheri, better known as Ibn al-Shaykh al-Libi, who was captured in Pakistan in 2001 and was later sent to Egypt under the CIA's extraordinary rendition program, where he was reportedly tortured.

The honorable I BEEN a SHAKY ALIBI?!!!!!

Is this guy even real, or did they make him up?

Talk about a cut out!

The Libyan newspaper Oea reported he committed suicide in prison by hanging himself with bed sheets. The paper, which is close to the son of Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy, said he died late last week.

Uh-huh!

BAGHDAD - Iraq's defense minister insisted yesterday that the head of the country's main Al Qaeda front group was in custody, despite an online statement by the leader that he was still free....
