Obama's Sticker Shock

"Tougher rules for cars, trucks; Obama plan cuts emissions, raises efficiency goals" by Steven R. Hurst, Associated Press | May 20, 2009

WASHINGTON - President Obama is asking consumers to put their money - $1,300 per new vehicle by 2016 - behind his plan for higher efficiency standards for cars and trucks, and tougher rules on their greenhouse gas emissions....

The only hot air around here is coming out of his fart-misting mouth!

"The fact is, everyone wins," Obama said during a Rose Garden ceremony attended by representatives of the auto industry and environmental groups as well as state and federal lawmakers, including Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.

That's a LIE!!!

But THAT DOESN'T MATTER when you are PUSHING an AGENDA!

"Consumers pay less for fuel, which means less money going overseas and more money to save or spend here at home. The economy as a whole runs more efficiently by using less oil and producing less pollution," he said. "And companies like those here today have new incentives to create the technologies and the jobs that will provide smarter ways to power our vehicles."

I'm already tired of his bullshit and he's only been in office four months.

Consumers were already going to pay an extra $700 for mileage standards that had already been approved, according to administration officials. The Obama plan would add another $600 to the price of a typical vehicle, bringing the total cost to $1,300....

Bend a spread, America; bend and spread.

Oh, yeah, and about that tax credit he promised you:

"Democrats' bill to limit gases would raise little

WASHINGTON - House Democrats' bill to limit gases blamed for global warming would generate a fraction of the money President Obama wanted to get from it to pay for a middle-class tax credit....

The ONLY HOT AIR is coming from D.C., so SHADDUP!!!!

House Democrats said yesterday they plan to auction 15 percent of the allowances to help lower- and middle-income families pay for higher energy bills. The remainder will be given away to a variety of industries and states to ease costs.

Yeah, promises, promises.
