Occupation Iraq: British Remains

"About 400 Navy and Royal Marines will remain"

"After 6 years, Britain ends combat role in Iraq; Hands over military duties to US troops" by Washington Post | May 1, 2009

LONDON - British military operations in Iraq ended yesterday, a month ahead of schedule, closing a six-year mission that cost the lives of 179 British soldiers and was deeply unpopular in Britain....

All dead over a lie.

About 400 Navy and Royal Marines will remain to help with training of Iraqi naval forces, officials said.... Yesterday's announcement is unlikely to end debate about the Iraq war in Britain, where there have been calls for an independent inquiry into Britain's role....

I wish America would have that debate -- although I wish we wee out more!
