"Voting Rights Act survives court challenge" by Associated Press | June 23, 2009
WASHINGTON - The Voting Rights Act, the government’s chief weapon against racial discrimination at polling places since the 1960s, survived a Supreme Court challenge yesterday in a ruling that nevertheless warned of serious constitutional questions posed by part of the law....
That has to be the most impotent law alive.
Remember Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004?
Attorney General Eric Holder called the decision a victory for voting rights and said the court “ensured that this law will continue to protect free and fair access to the voting booth.’’
WTF is he TALKING ABOUT -- other than pushing bullshit?
And this next decision I can't believe:
"Ruling extends special-education funding" by New York Times | June 23, 2009
NEW YORK - In a decision that could help disabled students get needed services and cost school districts millions of dollars, the Supreme Court ruled yesterday that parents of special-education students may seek government reimbursement for private school tuition, even if they have never received special-education services in public school.
What the F***?
EVERY WHERE you TURN it's ANOTHER LOOTING JOB!!!!!
And not that I'm against them, but the "special ed" kids are BANKRUPTING OUR SCHOOLS with their "problems."
How about GETTING THEM OFF the PRESCRIPTION MEDS FIRST, huh?
While most of the nation’s 6 million special-education students attend public school, as T.A. did for many years, thousands of families with disabled children, convinced the public schools lack appropriate placements, avoid public schools altogether.
And FOR GOOD REASON' however, WHY must the TAXPAYER PICK up the TAB?
Instead, they enroll their children in expensive private schools for students with emotional or learning disabilities, then seek reimbursement.
I told you. The F***ED UP KIDS with the "modern problems" needing "antidepressant or pills" are RUINING and BANKRUPTING the SCHOOLS!!
You know, we got TRILLIONS for WARS and BANKS but NOTHING for the -- at the risk of being politically incorrect -- the RETARDS? Just wait until they get drafted!
And then the creepy court reaches into my state.
"Court backs Mass. on corporate taxes" by Associated Press | June 23, 2009
WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court won’t stop Massachusetts from taxing out-of-state corporations that work in that state but don’t have in-state buildings or employees.
Why am I not surprised?
You know what, business world?
STAY OUT of MASSACHUSHITTS at ALL COSTS!!!
Don't even bother selling products here because WE WILL JUST FUCK YOU!!!
The court refused yesterday to hear an appeal from Capital One Bank and Geoffrey Inc., a subsidiary of Toys R Us that licenses the company’s giraffe logo and other trademarks.
Massachusetts tax officials say both companies make money in-state, and therefore should pay state taxes.Like I said: STAY OUT of Massachusetts!!!
The companies say that the Commerce Clause of the Constitution prohibits state officials from taxing out-of-state companies that do not have a physical presence in that state.
Constitution?
What does THAT have to do with anything in AmeriKa, huh?
--more--"
Don't you just LOVE the Supreme Court IGNORING the CONSTITUTION?
They are NO BETTER than CONGRESS or the EXECUTIVE!!!!!
