"Censored expense reports released" by David Stringer, Associated Press | June 19, 2009
LONDON - Britons won the chance yesterday to see the lawmaker expense claims that sparked a political scandal - but found the most outrageous details hidden by the thick black strokes of a censor’s pen.
In the FREE WEST?
Parliamentary authorities posted online details of four years worth of legislators’ claims after a lengthy legal battle, though thousands of pages were obscured amid concerns over privacy and security.
Items blacked out include addresses of lawmakers’ second homes, destinations on train tickets, and the names of hotels used on business trips. The heavy deletion marks make it impossible to determine what many of the claims are - or whether there was an attempt to manipulate Parliament’s rules.
Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper has published detailed reports on the expenses since May, after it was leaked an uncensored copy of the documents - meaning many of the most damaging details were already known. But omitting the most notorious claims - such as a $2,666 charge for an ornamental duck house - from publicly available documents could stoke further outrage....
Ya think?
But the censored documents do make interesting reading. George Osborne, a Conservative lawmaker, charged $77 for two DVDs of one of his speeches, titled “Value for Taxpayers’ Money.’’ Prime Minister Gordon Brown claimed the cost of a satellite TV package, and charges to have his shirts ironed.
No wonder the Brits want his scalp!
The FALSE-FLAG TERROR ATTACK ain't gonna work for you, Brownie!
Opposition leader David Cameron charged to have weeds removed from his chimney....
We'll remove something for him:
One lawmaker charged 1 pence, about 1.6 cents, for a 12-second phone call....
Where is the line?
Revelations over the expenses have led dozens of lawmakers to quit ministerial jobs, or announce they will leave Parliament. An outraged British public scolded the country’s major political parties by voting in large numbers for fringe groups in recent local and European elections.

Some details disclosed by the newspaper were comical: like claims for porn movies, cookies, horse manure, and maintenance to the moat of a country mansion.
I don't see a lot of Englanders laughing, do you?
But the Telegraph also revealed how some lawmakers manipulated rules to furnish or upgrade homes, avoid taxes, or claim mortgage payments on home loans that had already been paid off....
Like here in AmeriKa. Same thing!
House of Commons authorities said addresses were deleted because of security concerns. Police and prosecutors said they will not pursue criminal investigations into allegations against most of the lawmakers.
And THAT is what is WRONG with WESTERN GOVERNMENTS in a nutshell (charge that to the home account, wouldja, love?).
And it WASN'T JUST the POLITICIANS as you see the SECOND CANDIDATE in LINE!
Oh, is THIS ever a SHOCKER! It EXPLAINS so MUCH!!!!!
"BBC details expenses of its top executives; Disclosure part of effort to raise accountability" by David Stringer, Associated Press | June 26, 2009
LONDON - Britain’s state broadcaster, the BBC, published details of expense claims made by top executives yesterday, amid an increasing public clamor to scrutinize the use of public money.
The BBC, which is mainly funded by a $232 levy on every household with a television set, said it will also publish details of its top 100 earners and decision-makers later in the year.
Out the window with it, 'eh?

Director-general Mark Thompson said that because the BBC is publicly funded, it should learn from a scandal over lawmakers’ expenses.
Then WHY all the WAR LIES, guys?!!!
I thought you guys were BETTER than what we have over here.
Why knuckle under to Israel last January and cancel the Palestinian infoappeal?
Details of how legislators used public money to pay for items including horse manure, astrology lessons, and porn movies have outraged the public and prompted dozens of lawmakers to announce they will not run for reelection.
“Public expectations about openness, trustworthiness, and every kind of value for money are becoming more trenchant, more insistent, and more vocal than ever before,’’ Thompson said.
The BBC will reveal its total expenditure on star actors and presenters this fall, but the individual salaries of top talent will remain secret.
Why? Amy Winehouse making too much too be taking the pipe?
The organization yesterday disclosed details of expense claims made by senior executives since 2004 - including charges for use of a private jet, flowers, champagne, and an iPod. The disclosure was prompted by requests made under Britain’s freedom of information law.
They are no different than the s***s they cover!!
No wonder the whole system is filled with lying, looting rot!
Documents showed Thompson charged $3,638 to fly his family home from a holiday in October when his vacation was cut short by a row over obscene phone calls made by a radio presenter. Comedian Russell Brand had quit his BBC radio show after he left lewd messages on actor Andrew Sachs’s answering machine.
On a separate occasion, Thompson charged $2,078 in 2004 to charter a private jet to fly back to London from a vacation to contend with an urgent issue related to a staff member. The BBC did not identify the problem.
Thompson also claimed the $163 cost of a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvee champagne given to presenter Bruce Forsyth for his 80th birthday. Senior executive Jana Bennett claimed $815 for a stolen handbag, and human resources director Stephen Kelly made two claims for $0.30 reimbursement for business related trips made in his own car.
Remember the saying every little bit counts. We DON'T CARE about the AMOUNT, the HAND was IN THERE!! OFF with IT!!!
Maybe the "extremists" have a point.
Ashley Highfield, the organization’s former head of future media, bought an iPod for $387 - explaining it was to be used to test BBC video services for handheld devices. In 2008, he charged $2,328 for a meal for 29 people at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
You mean, like one of these?

Highfield left the BBC in 2008 to join a private new media company, and later joined

The whole collection makes looking back at this next result very unsurprising, doesn't it?
LONDON - Bereaved families and antiwar campaigners said a private inquiry would do little to dispel fears that prewar intelligence was manipulated....
Look, they gotta "dispel fears" a.k.a. LYING about their LIES!
You know, there has been a lot of talk lately about some memos proving Bush and Bliar knew they were bulls***ting; well, we have KNOWN THAT for a LONG LONG TIME and it is WHY we are FRUSTRATED to the POINT of PROFANE RAGE!!!
WAR CRIMES TRIALS and EXECUTIONS, dammit, as well as the RECOGNITION of FALSE-FLAGS -- such as the ONE BUSH SUGGESTED that they "didn't do!"
Officials said the inquiry is the first of its type by a country that joined the Iraq invasion, and will be more comprehensive than the work of the 2006 Iraq Study Group in the United States, the bipartisan panel led by former secretary of state James A. Baker III, a Republican, and former Democratic representative Lee Hamilton that helped chart a new course in the then-flagging war.

First of all, there have been PLENTY of INQUIRIES in a LOT of PLACES, so THAT IS A LIE!!!
And the 2006 ISG was NOT an INVESTIGATIVE BODY -- it was a GLOBALIST SUGGESTION TANK that BUSH DISOBEYED!
Why the DISTORTED HISTORY, you lying, war-promo.... oh, yeah!
