"Every table was set with a single fresh rose (from the rose gardens outside, I was told) and a full complement of three forks, two knives, and two spoons in silver plate..... The buffet tables could have graced a high-end ocean liner. I watched a gentleman in colorful African garb pile his plate with slices of roast sirloin and potatoes mashed with feta cheese. A post-retirement-age couple from the East Side scarfed up most of the egg rolls, though more came out quickly....
I made for the roast leg of lamb with rosemary sauce after I filled my salad plate with chilled asparagus and slices of a duck and pork terrine.... fresh tomato soup and bowls of pasta primavera.... The dessert buffet table practically groaned under a spread of apple and pumpkin pies, cheesecakes, tarts, half a dozen cheeses, sliced fruits, bowls of berries, and, off to one side, three urns of ice cream"

Still hungry?
"UN food agency says 1 billion people going hungry each day; Officials link crisis to instability in the Third World" by Alessandra Rizzo, Associated Press | June 20, 2009
ROME - The global financial meltdown has pushed the ranks of the world’s hungry to a record 1 billion, a grim milestone that poses a threat to peace and security, UN food officials said yesterday.
Look at 'em blame the looting, 'er, meltdown!
Well, HAVE 'EM OVER for DINNER, U.N.!
Then again, why would they when they have the PERFECT RECIPE for MORE WARS!!
Because of war, drought, political instability, high food prices, and poverty, hunger now affects 1 in 6 people, by the UN estimate. The financial meltdown has compounded the crisis in what the head of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization called a “devastating combination for the world’s most vulnerable.’’
I'm still trying to get my mind around the 1 in 6 ratio!!!
Compared with last year, there are 100 million more people who are hungry....
I'll bet that's low-balled, too!
The crisis is a humanitarian one, but also a political issue. Officials sought to stress the link between hunger and instability, noting that soaring prices for staples, such as rice, triggered riots in the developing world last year. '
Of course, they DON'T LINK it to THEIR LAVISH LIFESTYLES and BAD DECISIONS!

Had enough globalist propaganda?
Josette Sheeran of the World Food Program, another UN food agency based in Rome, said hungry people rioted in at least 30 countries last year. Most notably, soaring food prices led to deadly riots in Haiti and the overthrow of the prime minister.
Please read Globalist Bankers Getting Their Pound of Flesh From Starving Haitians and AmeriKa's Africa before continuing. Thank you.
“A hungry world is a dangerous world,’’ Sheeran said. “Without food, people have only three options: They riot, they emigrate, or they die. None of these are acceptable options.’’
Yeah, right, globalist puke!! Sure sounds like the EndGame to me!!!!
And think it's not part of a plan?
"On Dec. 10, 1974, the U.S. National Security Council under Henry Kissinger completed a classified 200-page study, "National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests." The study falsely claimed that population growth in the so-called Lesser Developed Countries (LDCs) was a grave threat to U.S. national security. Adopted as official policy in November 1975 by President Gerald Ford, NSSM 200 outlined a covert plan to reduce population growth in those countries through birth control, and also, implicitly, war and famine. Brent Scowcroft, who had by then replaced Kissinger as national security adviser (the same post Scowcroft was to hold in the Bush administration), was put in charge of implementing the plan. CIA Director George Bush was ordered to assist Scowcroft, as were the secretaries of state, treasury, defense, and agriculture...."
NSSM 200 similarly concluded that the United States was threatened by population growth in the former colonial sector. It paid special attention to 13 "key countries" in which the United States had a "special political and strategic interest": India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Turkey, Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia....
"It is questionable," Kissinger gloated, "whether aid donor countries will be prepared to provide the sort of massive food aid called for by the import projections on a long-term continuing basis." Consequently, "large-scale famine of a kind not experienced for several decades—a kind the world thought had been permanently banished," was foreseeable—famine, which has indeed come to pass."
I guess we will just have to EAT the RICH, huh?
Even though prices have retreated from their mid-2008 highs, they are still “stubbornly high’’ in some domestic markets, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization. On average, food prices were 24 percent higher in real terms at the end of 2008 compared with 2006, it said.
“Malnutrition kills through the fact that it weakens the immune system of a child,’’ said Andrei Engstrand-Neacsu, a Nairobi-based spokesman for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in East Africa.
My FIRST THOUGHT? GAZA!!!!!
The WAR-CRIMINAL SIEGE of Iz-ray-HELL is KILLING KIDS!!!!!
Some 22 million of the 1 billion hungry people counted by the UN are in the drought-stricken Horn of Africa, he said.
And we know why that region is such a hellhole, don't we?
The main trouble in the region is coming from the "rebels who rose in 2003." The unspoken reason why Eastern Africa is such a mess? The Israeli weapons-smuggling ring that the Somali pirates exposed with their taking of the Faina."
Engstrand-Neacsu said he had just returned from a corner of southern Ethiopia on the Kenyan border where the food situation is dire, and had been speaking to a family who lost a child to malaria in February. The parents said they were told their son couldn’t be saved because he was malnourished.
It is ALL OVER the WHOLE REGION!
Congo, Somalia, how come they don't rate a mention?
Engstrand-Neacsu called on donors to act before “skeletal African children are shown on the television screen at dinnertime’’ in the West.
Umm, first, they ALREADY ARE, and second, HAVE 'EM OVER to the U.N. for LUNCH!!!
The number of hungry people is estimated to have reached 1.02 billion - up 11 percent from last year’s 915 million, the Food and Agriculture Organization said. The agency said it based its estimate on analysis by the US Department of Agriculture.
Oh, so the ACTUAL NUMBER is OVER 1 BILLION!
Interesting when you consider the MSM printing "over 2 million refugees" in its Pakistan articles when there is WELL OVER THREE MILLION!
The FUDGING and MANIPULATION of numbers isn't helping your lying, money-losing asses, jewspapers!!!!!!!!!
The UN agency said that the hunger rate is rising, too - that is, the number of hungry people is growing more quickly than the world population. Officials did not provide a rate but said the trend began two years ago.
Right, and the U.N. is going to come to the rescue!
Almost all the world’s undernourished live in developing countries. But all regions of the world have registered two-digit increases in hunger from last year. The world’s most populous region, Asia and the Pacific, has the largest number of hungry people - 642 million, up 10.5 percent from last year. Sub-Saharan Africa registers 265 million undernourished, an 11.8 percent increase.
Even in the developed world, undernourishment is a growing concern, with 15 million in all and a 15.4 percent increase, the sharpest rise around the world, the UN agency said.
Yeah, I'm one of 'em! Down to one meal a day.
That's STILL BETTER than these STARVING PEOPLE!
