"Nigeria group says it holds tanker, crew" by Associated Press | July 7, 2009

ABUJA, Nigeria - The country’s main militant group said yesterday that it had seized a chemical tanker with six foreign crew members aboard and had attacked a second oil facility after a vow to step up the intensity of its attacks.

That will certainly send OIL PRICES up, cui bono?

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta said in an e-mail that the tanker was seized Sunday about 20 nautical miles from Escravos in the south of the country and would be held until further notice. It said three of those aboard are Russian, two are from the Philippines, and the sixth crew member is from India.

“Their arrest is meant to serve as a warning to others that there are root issues that have to be resolved with the Nigerian government before normalcy can resume,’’ the group said.

More than 200 foreign workers have been taken captive in the restive Niger Delta since violence increased in 2006, with most released unharmed after a ransom is paid.

It looks like NATO will start having to patrol there, too, huh?

The militants say they are fighting to force the federal government to devote more oil-industry funds to the southern region, which remains deeply poor despite its natural bounty. But the government considers most of the militants criminals who use politics to mask their true intention....

I'm rubber, your glue, everything bounces off me and sticks to you -- where it BELONGS, government!

Here are the QUIET PIRATES of the Zionist AmeriKan MSM:

"Israel deports activists heading to Gaza" by Matti Friedman, Associated Press | July 7, 2009

JERUSALEM - Israel yesterday deported a former US congresswoman, a Nobel peace prize laureate, and other activists who were arrested and jailed after trying to break the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.

So the AP basically IGNORED the WHOLE THING!

See: What the Globe Did and Did Not See in Gaza

What is Missing From My Monday Morning Globe

The Israeli navy commandeered their boat last week as it tried to sail from Cyprus to Gaza. It was the latest in a series of trips by activists trying to bring attention to the blockade imposed by Israel and Egypt on the territory after the Islamic militant group Hamas seized power there two years ago.

Yeah, EXCEPT they WON ELECTIONS, you distorting piece of Zionist garbage!

There were 21 passengers and three tons of medical aid on board, and most of the activists were quickly expelled. But Nobel laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire and former US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, along with six other activists, remained in Israeli custody until the government arranged flights for them, said Interior Ministry spokeswoman Sabine Haddad.

Please see Rock the Truth for more.

Israel says the embargo is a response to Hamas’s hostility toward the Jewish state, including attacks by Gaza militants at crossings used to deliver cargo into the coastal strip.

I'm tired of Israel's lies, did you know that?

The blockade has caused significant economic hardship in Gaza, sparking international criticism.

And MORE than THAT!!

Gaza suffers shortages of many basic items, such as cooking oil, diapers, and construction materials needed to rebuild the area following an Israeli military offensive early this year.

Notice how they ALWAYS DOWNPLAY ISRAEL'S GENOCIDAL BEHAVIOR?

Happens TOO OFTEN to be an ACCIDENT!

McKinney was a representative from Georgia and the Green Party’s candidate for president in 2008.

Maguire won the 1976 Nobel Peace Prize for her work among Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland.

And ISRAEL took them PRISONER!
