Vaccine Kills Kid in Britain

So GO GET YOUR FLU SHOTS, America!!!

Of course, the authorities are saying no connection at all -- which now inclines one to believe there is one.

Ever see the movie "
V ," readers? Understand the premise?

Either way, I wouldn't want my young daughter being filled with this poison.

"UK says vaccine probably not lethal; Girl had cervical cancer injection" by Raphael G. Satter, Associated Press | September 30, 2009

LONDON - A British health official said yesterday the sudden death of 14-year-old girl was very unlikely to have been caused by the vaccine she was given hours before she died.

Then WHAT ELSE COULD IT HAVE BEEN?

Natalie Morton, who died in a hospital Monday only hours after being the given the Cervarix vaccine, which protects against the virus that causes cervical cancer, had a “serious underlying medical condition which was likely to have caused death,’’ according to Caron Grainger, the director for public health at Coventry City Council, the English city where the girl went to school....

The council, which has declined to give further details of the death, did not elaborate on Morton’s “underlying medical condition.’’

“We are awaiting further test results which will take some time,’’ Grainger said in a statement. “However, indications are that it was most unlikely that the . . . vaccination was the cause of death.’’

The Cervarix vaccine consists of three injections given over six months, and the shot Morton received at her school had been her first. Morton appeared to be healthy before being given the shot, and her dramatic death sent a ripple of concern across the country.

Yeah, at the school!

Ever notice the more you say that word, the more evil it sounds?

Go ahead, say it to yourself a couple of times: the schoool! The schoool!

Sounds a little scary, doesn't it -- and well it should!

Officials have temporarily suspended Coventry’s vaccination program and quarantined the batch of vaccine given at the school.... The National Health Service in Coventry said it stopped the vaccination program for two days to give staff administering the vaccine training in how to answer questions from anyone concerned about its safety. “We fully expect to resume the program in the coming days,’’ the health authority said in a statement.

The state-run National Health Service began offering the Cervarix vaccine to teenage girls last year, and more than 1.4 million doses of the vaccine have been given out so far under the program. The virus is often transmitted through sexual intercourse and authorities wanted to give the vaccine to girls as young as 13 so that they are protected by the time they become sexually active.

I'm sorry, I just don't want kids being poked with needles even before they have sex. Not like it is encouraging them with the feeling of indestructibility or anything. I can't get sick, I got a STD shot!

The cervical cancer vaccine is routinely administered to millions of young girls across Europe and North America. No safety concerns about the vaccines have been raised elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the US Food and Drug Administration has delayed a decision on whether to approve Cervarix. A decision on the vaccine was expected yesterday. But GlaxoSmithKline UK, which manufactures Cervarix, said the death in Britain did not influence the FDA’s decision to extend its review....

As if the FDA is to be trusted about anything these days.

Update:

This is the best they could come up with?

LONDON - A British coroner says a teenage girl who died after receiving a vaccine against cervical cancer was probably killed by a tumor.

Natalie Morton, 14, collapsed Monday about two hours after being given Cervarix, a vaccine that protects against two viruses that can cause cervical cancer.

“It appears that Natalie died from a tumor in her chest involving her heart and her lungs,’’ deputy coroner Louise Hunt said yesterday at an inquest into the teenager’s death.

The girl’s mother and stepfather say that she was “kind, fun-loving and had a beautiful smile. We will miss her very much.’’

Yeah, so don't worry and roll up that sleeve.
