"Doctor is accused of molesting boys" by Associated Press | October 7, 2009
It's almost enough to make you become a Christian Scientist.
HAMILTON, Ohio - A pediatrician performed sex acts on three teenage patients during office visits, slipping them cash payments of about $200 as they left, a prosecutor told jurors yesterday.
Dr. Mark Blankenburg doled out money and prescription drugs to some of the patients even after they became adults, Assistant Butler County Prosecutor Lance Salyers said in opening statements at the doctor’s trial. Blankenburg, 53, and his twin, Dr. Scott Blankenburg, also a pediatrician, are accused of sex crimes involving minors. The brother faces a trial in April.
The doctors have practiced for more than 20 years in Hamilton, a city of more than 60,000 north of Cincinnati. Authorities said the abuses date to 1987. Salyers said Mark Blankenburg gave the patients drugs that included the anti-anxiety medications Xanax and Valium and the pain-reliever Percocet.
Time to GET OFF the REAL DOPE, AmeriKa!!!!
How can you LET YOUR KIDS INGEST any of that GARBAGE!!
Defense attorney Mike Shanks told jurors there is no evidence that Blankenburg committed the sex acts. He acknowledged that Blankenburg paid money to his accusers but said that what the state has labeled as bribery was “flat-out extortion.’’
It started when a former patient with drug problems wanted money and told Blankenburg he would tell people the doctor had committed sex acts on him if he did not pay up, Shanks said. “He knew him to be a soft personality.’’
A little "playful" innuendo there? Pffft!
That patient says Blankenburg, who was also his Little League coach, began molesting him when he was 13 and gave him $200, Salyers said.
Was he ON DRUGS yet?

"Private prison reaches $1.3m settlement over harassment" by Associated Press | October 15, 2009
DENVER - The operators of a Colorado private prison have agreed to pay $1.3 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that male officers forced female workers to perform sex acts to keep their jobs.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced the settlement with the Dominion
Yeah, PRISONS-for-PROFIT!
We need LESS LAWS and LESS PRISONS!
Give us MORE HEALTH CENTERS and SAVE the SCHOOLS, how about that?
In one case, the EEOC alleged that a female officer who complained about being sexually harassed was subsequently placed in an isolated location where she was raped by the man she complained about.
That it TORTURE and TERRORISM, folks!!!
RIGHT HERE in the GOOD OLE U.S. of A.
You DON'T HAVE TO GO to a SECRET BLACK SITE TORTURE CHAMBER in a foreign nation, America!
It can HAPPEN RIGHT HERE in the HEARTLAND!
A female officer also said the prison’s former security chief forced her to have sex to keep her job.
Not to be flippant, but I wish someone had asked me that once.
The companies didn’t admit liability as part of the settlement.
Yeah, THEY are off the hook!

"Del. first-grader gets 45-day suspension lifted" by Associated Press | October 15, 2009
BEAR, Del. - A Delaware first-grader who was facing 45 days in an alternative school as punishment for taking his favorite camping utensil to school can return to class after the school board made a hasty change granting him a reprieve....
Zachary Christie, 6, had faced 45 days in an alternative school for troublemakers after he took the utensil - a combination folding knife, fork, and spoon - to school to eat lunch last month....
All right, the TYRANNY based on LIES has gone FAR ENOUGH!!!!!!
Clear the Court!
****************
The punishment given to Zachary was one of several in recent years that have prompted national debate on whether schools have gone too far with zero-tolerance policies.
Yeah, THEY JUST TOLERATE MILITARY RECRUITERS and then turn around and have a "zero-tolerance" for violence?
The HYPOCRITICAL STINK-STENCH is FILLING the HALLS, kids!
FIRE DRILL, FIRE DRILL!!!!
It was not the first such case in the Christina School District, Delaware’s largest with more than 17,000 students. Last year, a fifth-grade girl was ordered expelled after she brought a birthday cake to school and a serrated knife to cut it with....
Oh my God! Not supposed to end the sentence that way, wise MSM!
And the SADNESS with which I read that!

"Alleged police beating captured on video" by Associated Press | October 26, 2009
SAN JOSE, Calif. - A cellphone video that shows police officers repeatedly hitting an unarmed San Jose State student with batons and stunning him with a Taser gun has prompted a criminal investigation into the officers’ conduct, a San Jose police spokesman said.
The video, posted by the San Jose Mercury News on its website, shows one officer hitting Phuong Ho, 20, with a metal baton more than 10 times, including once on the head. Another officer is seen using his Taser gun. The final baton strike in the incident last month appears to take place after Ho was handcuffed. “It takes me back to the day I saw the Rodney King video on TV,’’ said Roger Clark, a law enforcement specialist and a retired lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. The last baton strike ought to bring a felony charge, he said.
Officers arrested Ho on suspicion of assaulting one of his roommates. He told the newspaper that he did not resist arrest. The confrontation began Sept. 3 when Ho’s roommate, Jeremy Suftin, put soap on Ho’s steak.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Real funny!
The two scuffled and Ho allegedly picked up a steak knife. Police were called, and four officers responded. Ho resisted arrest, according to police reports. One of Ho’s roommates, Dimitri Masouris, captured the arrest on his cellphone.

I guess the screams were resistance. Then they tell him to be quiet and calm down, not to be emotional!

"Aging building's stench has state workers reeling
:-)
SANTA FE, N.M. --For some state employees, going to work really stinks. Aging sewer pipes are being blamed for a rotten smell at the Manuel Lujan Sr. Building, which was built in 1974 and houses the state Taxation and Revenue Department as its main tenant.
Well, HOW APPROPRIATE!!!!
Maybe ALL THAT $$$ for WARS, BANKSTERS, and TYRANNY should have been spent on INFRASTRUCTURE, huh?
You are CRUMBLING right before your VERY OWN EYES, America -- as BANKSTERS take BILLIONS in TAXPAYER-PROVIDED BONUSES!!
WAKE the F*** UP!!!!!!!!!!!
General Services Department spokesman Alex Cuellar said: "If your sewer line blows at your home, it's not going to be very pleasant until it's repaired."
I can't think of a NICER CREW on the receiving end!!!!
About 325 people work in the building, where state revenue is processed. Employees have been sent home twice in the past two weeks because of other problems, including a broken air conditioner.
Ooooh! HOT and SMELLY!!!! That MULTIPLIES the EFFECT, ha-ha!
Taxation and Revenue Secretary Rick Homans estimated it will cost $7 million to $10 million to upgrade the building's heating, cooling and plumbing systems.
