Susan the Insane Stabber

Troubling because it is so close to home.

"Mass. woman accused in stabbing to plead insane

WORCESTER, Mass. --Lawyers for a woman charged with repeatedly stabbing her 2-year-old daughter with a pair of scissors in the laundry room of a Gardner apartment complex say they plan to mount an insanity defense.

The Telegram & Gazette reports that a Superior Court judge on Tuesday scheduled a bench trial for Susan Johnson starting April 5.

Her lawyers had previously indicated that she has a history of mental illness and filed notice of intent to raise a defense of lack of criminal responsibility by reason of mental disease or defect.

Prosecutors say the 39-year-old Johnson took a bus from her Turners Falls home to Gardner and on April 1 used scissors to stab and slash her daughter 100 times.

She also allegedly tried to strangle the girl with an electrical cord.

Is this any surprise to those in the know about SSSI inhibitors and the mental poisons they are feeding people?

"she has a history of depression and had not taken her medication recently"

Is it JUST ME, or do those SIDE EFFECTS from the MEDS bring out JUST THOSE TYPES of FEELING?

"Montague mother accused of trying to kill girl with scissors" by George Barnes and Linda Bock, Worcester Telegram & Gazette | April 3, 2009

GARDNER - A Montague woman is being held without bail after she allegedly tried to stab her 2-year-old daughter to death with scissors.

She also is accused of trying to strangle the child with an appliance cord, and is being evaluated to see whether she is competent to stand trial.

Susan R. Johnson, 38, was arraigned yesterday in Gardner District Court on charges of attempted murder, armed assault with intent to murder, three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a child with injury, and threatening to commit a crime (murder).

Judge Arthur F. Haley III ordered her held for 20 days at Framingham State Prison for an evaluation to determine her competency to stand trial. The district attorney's office also requested that a dangerousness hearing be held to determine whether Johnson should be held without bail.

Should there be a question? What are you going to do next, give her back the child?

See They Died in Each Others Arms if you think it can't happen.

Here is what you do: LET OUT a NONVIOLENT DRUGGIE RIGHT NOW!!!!

And if you think the state is out to protect your kids, sorry, think again:

Incarcerating Children is Big Business

The child was placed in the custody of the state Department of Children and Families. Gardner's police chief, Neil C. Erickson, said Johnson had dealings with state child welfare officials while in Turners Falls, a village in Montague. He said she had spoken with them on Tuesday and that might have been the reason why she brought the child to Gardner.

How truly ghastly. That is over the river and next door.

Johnson was arrested Wednesday night after she was subdued in an apartment complex laundry room by Douglas J. Waite, a security guard, and residents Real J. Belliveau and John D. Reilly Sr., police said. Erickson said Waite was on his rounds when he saw Johnson stabbing her child with scissors. He wrestled the scissors from her, but she grabbed an electrical cord from a dryer, wrapped it around the child's neck, and continued the attack, Erickson said.

The residents heard screams and came to help.

We DO HAVE OUR GOOD QUALITIES OUT HERE -- although you would never know it from this piece of crap I report on everyday.

Although Johnson fought them, police said, they were able to get the child away from her, unwrap the cord from around her neck, and subdue the woman. "I heard her screaming, 'I've got to kill you,' " Belliveau recalled.

He said he was surprised at how calm the child was, considering she had been stabbed multiple times. Police reports filed with court documents said Johnson was screaming "Die! Die! Die!" as the three men attempted to subdue her. Police said she also threatened to kill the security guard, cursing and pointing the scissors at him. Waite told police that when he went to get the scissors from her, she sprayed him in the face with perfume.

Peter Binder, a lawyer appointed to defend Johnson, said she has a history of depression and had not taken her medication recently. He said she traveled to Gardner on a bus early Wednesday, apparently because her family lives in the city. He added that she was paranoid and that she said she was being stalked by a cult. "Obviously she has some health issues," he said. "She doesn't seem to understand what happened."

Neither do I.
