North Korea Captures Another CIA Spy

That is how I view all these events now.

Let's face it, they wouldn't be making the paper if it they were not
CIA.

"North Korea to try Boston man for illegal entry" by Stefanie Geisler, Globe Correspondent | March 23, 2010

A Boston man will stand trial in North Korea for allegedly entering the country illegally, officials said yesterday.

Aijalon Mahli Gomes, 30, was identified yesterday by state-run media in North Korea as the fourth US citizen detained for illegal entry in the past year. A trial date was not provided.

It is unclear why Gomes, who had been teaching English in South Korea for about two years, would have crossed into North Korea, the family’s spokeswoman said.

I have a pretty good idea.

“The family has no further comment, other than to say they’re praying for him and they’re hoping for his speedy return home,’’ said Thaleia Schlesinger....

Of course, they wouldn't know he is an AmeriKan spy.

Two months ago, North Korea announced it had detained an American Jan. 25 for trespassing. The American, who was accused of entering the country from China, was not identified at the time.

“We are concerned about his health and welfare,’’ US State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told the Associated Press. “We are obviously concerned about whatever legal process he might face.’’

ASSET!

Crowley added the US is concerned about North Korea’s “lack of transparency.’’

Yeah, but don't worry about the renditions, torture, secret black site prisons and floating dungeons of AmeriKa and their transparency.

In the past year, North Korea has detained three other Americans for allegedly entering the country illegally. Two journalists were arrested near the Chinese border last March. Laura Ling and Euna Lee were sentenced to 12 years of hard labor on charges of illegal entry and engaging in hostile acts. Bill Clinton, the former president, visited Pyongyang and negotiated their release in August.

In December, American missionary Robert Park crossed into North Korea from China, attempting to call for the resignation of leader Kim Jong Il. Park served more than 40 days in custody. He was released last month.

No to be callous, but as far as I am concerned the spying puke can rot in a North Korean jail.

"Teacher held in N. Korea called innocent

Oh, so that is his NOC, huh?
A teacher?

A friend of a Boston man facing trial in North Korea on charges of illegally entering the communist country said he “is not a terrorist’’ but an English teacher dedicated to his students.

Who called him a terrorist?

Marshalette Wise said in a phone interview yesterday from South Korea that Aijalon Mahli Gomes is a religious man who attends church every Sunday in Seoul.

Oh, no, not again (see links at end of post).

Wise, a 33-year-old Tuskegee, Ala., resident who is an English teacher trainer in South Korea, said Gomes liked to travel on his days off.

Are we now going to be told he got lost, pfft?

North Korea said Monday that Gomes will face trial. A family spokeswoman said Gomes grew up in Boston and attended Bowdoin College in Maine before going to South Korea to teach (AP)."

So that is where the CIA trained him, huh?

"Boston man detained by N. Koreans knew activist" by Hyung-Jin Kim, Associated Press | March 25, 2010

SEOUL — A Boston man detained in North Korea is a quiet, devout Christian so concerned about an American missionary held in Pyongyang that he was moved to tears at rallies protesting the communist regime, fellow activists said yesterday.

Oh, this is beginning to STINK to HIGH HEAVEN, readers!!

North Korea announced Monday that Aijalon Mahli Gomes, 30, would stand trial after entering the country illegally.

DEFINITELY a SPY!

It was not immediately clear why Gomes, who taught English in South Korea, went to the communist country.

It is to me.

However, activists in Seoul said he was an acquaintance of Robert Park, a fellow Christian from Arizona who crossed into North Korea on Christmas in a bold bid to draw attention to the country’s human rights situation....

He was already released! WTF?!!

And you can just SMELL the agenda, can't you?

Park, 26, of Tucson, was released last month after more than 40 days in custody....

Thaleia Schlesinger, a spokeswoman for Gomes’s family in Boston, said she had no comment on any connection between Gomes and Park. “I have no information on that,’’ she said.

Not a denial, is it?

So was Park his boss?

Gomes, a Boston native who graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine, had been in South Korea for several years teaching English, Schlesinger said.

Which makes it all innocent, right?

Update:

Looks like the Glob forgot all about him.
