Long Night in New Hampshire

The counting went very slow and that is very suspicious.

"Tea Party favorite wins in Delaware; race close in N.H." by Matt Viser, Globe Staff | September 15, 2010

As New Hampshire vote counters worked into the early-morning hours, however, former state attorney general Kelly Ayotte held a tiny lead over a lesser known, more conservative challenger, lawyer Ovide Lamontagne, in her bid to take the Republican nomination. At 2 a.m. this morning — six hours after the polls closed — Ayotte had 38.7 percent of the vote to Lamontagne’s 37.9 percent, with 80 percent of the precincts reporting....

Ayotte, who was backed by the party and was one of Palin’s “mama grizzlies,’’ had been expected to defeat Lamontagne, a lawyer whose last-minute push was propelled by support from prominent Tea Party activists. The race also included businessmen Bill Binnie and Jim Bender.

They are seeking the nomination to replace retiring US Senator Judd Gregg, a Republican....

The winner will face congressman Paul Hodes, who ran unchallenged in the Democratic primary....

In other primaries:

In New Hampshire, former US representative Charlie Bass overcame two more conservative opponents to win the Republican nomination for the state’s second congressional district, which is being vacated by Hodes. Democrats yesterday nominated lawyer Ann McLane Kuster over the more known Katrina Swett, who won the nomination for the seat in 2002 but lost the general election to Bass.

The ONE SAVING GRACE for DEMOCRATS!

Swett was the ESTABLISHMENT'S CHOICE!

Not that it will mean much.

In the state’s first congressional district, former mayor Frank Guinta of Manchester was leading the race for the Republican nomination for the chance to challenge incumbent Representative Carol Shea-Porter.

Oh, I remember her!

2006:

"Shea-Porter won with a grass-roots, fiery message centered on opposition to the Iraq war and the president's agenda."

Now:

"Shea-Porter also promised to continue fighting for new contracts at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and to draw the U.S. Air Force Cyberspace Command computer project to vacant property there."

"Shea-Porter also supports building more F-22s"

That's the ANTIWAR Shea-Porter, folks.

Not very antiwar at all, are they?

Related:

"two-term Democratic incumbent Carol Shea-Porter, whose favorability ratings have plunged since last fall, appears to be in the most peril. Democrats and Republicans enjoy roughly equal party registration in New Hampshire, but independents are a plurality that holds the balance of political power in the state. Shea-Porter fares poorly with self-identified independents in the WMUR poll."

She's done in November.

Both congressional seats in the Granite State are currently held by Democrats but are considered possible pickups for Republicans this year....

I think so, yeah, as New Hampshire returns to it's insurgent roots.

That is your objective and unbiased corporate media talking.
