"Va. man detained in Egypt coming home" by Associated Press | July 16, 2010
McLEAN, Va. — A Virginia man whose travels to Yemen caught the attention of the FBI and landed him on the US no-fly list, leaving him stuck in the Middle East for months, will be allowed to return to the United States.
Yahya Wehelie, 26, of Burke, Va., had been in Egypt for more than two months but is expected to arrive in New York this afternoon. FBI agents had been questioning him about his time in Yemen, Wehelie said. He went to Yemen nearly two years ago at his parents’ urging to learn Arabic and gain some direction in his life.
From who? Al-CIA-Duh?
Wehelie said in a phone interview yesterday that he does not know why US officials reversed course, but he said he holds no ill will toward the government for its investigation.
I have a pretty good idea why.
“I’m not angry at all. I know who I am and I knew eventually I would go home,’’ he said. “They’re trying to find the bad people, so more power to them.’’
Then you wouldn't mind a ride on the waterboard, would you?
Wehelie, who is of Somali descent, said he is looking forward to his mother’s home-cooked lasagna as he had been subsisting on fast food provided to him via coupons from the US Embassy.
Yeah, the government takes care of its patsies, I mean terrorists.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group, had taken up Wehelie’s cause.
Oh, is that why government backed down?
This guy just another innocent swept up in the "war on terror," huh?
CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said that he is glad that Wehelie’s case has been resolved. But the overall concerns remain. “It doesn’t alter the seemingly existing policy of barring Muslims from reentry’’ to the United States and using the no-fly list to pressure Muslims into abandoning constitutional rights that would be afforded them if they were being questioned in the United States, Hooper said.
Wehelie’s brother, Yusuf Wehelie, 19, had also traveled to Yemen and was questioned by US authorities in Cairo. He was allowed to return to the United States, but not before he was interrogated for several days and shackled to a wall in an Egyptian jail, where he says he was mistreated.
Umm, that is TORTURE, sorry!!!

A couple more doofus' that will be on their way home:
"US says terror plot by 2 Yemeni men unlikely" by Washington Post | September 1, 2010
WASHINGTON — Two Yemeni men who flew from Chicago to Amsterdam and were detained Monday in the Netherlands on suspicion of planning a terrorist act do not appear to be involved in any conspiracy and did not know each other before they were arrested, according to two US law enforcement officials.
The officials said suspicions that the men were involved in an attempt to test the security of the aviation system with fake bombs appeared misplaced. Rather, they said, the two became the focus of an international terrorism scare as a result of a series of odd events....
Oh, yeah, TELL US ABOUT IT!
Start with that WHOPPING, STINKING, COLOSSAL LIE of 9/11!
In Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al-Soofi's checked luggage, security screeners found a cellphone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cellphones taped together and a number of watches taped together....
Yeah, THAT IS SUSPICIOUS!
This has SUCH a STENCH of a PSYOP it STINKS!
Just KEEPING the GOVERNMENT'S 9/11 LIE IN YOUR MIND!
Hezem Abdullah Thabi al-Murisi, a Yemeni citizen, also missed his flight in Chicago. He was booked to Amsterdam as well and seated beside Soofi. The two did not know each other before getting on the same flight, the official said. And Murisi may have been dragged into the investigation only because he ended sitting beside Soofi.
So now if you are SITTING NEXT to a "terrorist" YOU MUST BE a TERRORIST!
The two men were detained by Dutch officials after United Airlines Flight 908 landed at Schiphol Airport on Monday morning.

Yeah, it SURE is STRANGE that these guys always seem to make it through ISRAELI SECURITY SYSTEMS!
Btw, when was the LAST TIME an ISRAELI JET was HIJACKED, huh?
In a statement, the Dutch prosecutor’s office said the two Yemenis were arrested “on the basis of information provided by the US authorities.’’
Yup, a GOVERNMENT PSYOP!!
US officials said they have not closed the book on the investigation because they still want Soofi to explain why he taped various items together as he did. But they said the explanation of some of his relatives that he used the tape to separate different things for different relatives in Yemen could be plausible.
Not to me it isn't.
This was just a MANUFACTURED and STAGED EVENT, readers -- like most of AmeriKa's "NEWS!"
