"Colo. cake maker can’t refuse gay couples, judge rules" by Ivan Moreno | Associated Press, December 07, 2013
DENVER — A baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex ceremony must serve gay couples despite his religious beliefs or face fines, a judge said Friday.
The order from administrative law judge Robert N. Spencer said Masterpiece Cakeshop discriminated against a couple ‘‘because of their sexual orientation by refusing to sell them a wedding cake for their same-sex marriage.’’
The order says the shop must ‘‘cease and desist from discriminating’’ against gay couples. Although the judge did not impose fines in this case, the business will face penalties if it continues to turn away gay couples.
The American Civil Liberties Union filed a complaint against shop owner Jack Phillips with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission last year on behalf of Charlie Craig, 33, and David Mullins, 29. The couple was married in Massachusetts and wanted a cake to celebrate in Colorado in July 2012. But when Phillips found out the cake was to celebrate a same-sex wedding, he turned the couple away, the complaint says.
Phillips’s attorney said the judge’s order puts him in an impossible position of going against his Christian faith.
Which means he will probably close his business. Nice going, gays.

Look, it is probably the right decision given the society and business, but the gay issue is not my main beef:
"SLIDING INTO WINTER -- Freezing rain and ice took a toll on the Southwest Friday, paralyzing areas such as Paris, Texas (above) and closing schools and businesses. The weather left thousands without power, and forced the cancellation of the Dallas Marathon, expected to draw 25,000 runners Sunday. The storm stretched through parts of the South and Midwest, including Arkansas, where workers shoveled a dock in Gamaliel (Boston Globe December 7 2013)."
Another postcard photograph in my printed Boston Globe that web version viewers will never see, but you sure can smell the stink of fart mist from the global warming crowd. Looks like Arkansas got about 10 inches, while the Marathon can join the ski event in Colorado that was cancelled because of too much snow(?). I hope Texas is okay.
Btw, Globe, it isn't even winter yet. Getting ahead of yourself so you don't look foolish?
UPDATE: Sleet, ice, deep-freeze hit large swath of US
Fart-misting Globe has really been downplaying the bad weather, huh?
