Slow Saturday Special: Watertown Hoax Worked

"A teacher found the bullet on top of a projector.... she did not have to take a test — “Now I get two extra weeks to study!”

Gee, there sure have been a lot of incidents at schools during the week of the Sandy Hook anniversary. Coincidence?

"Bullet in Watertown High leads to shelter-in-place order" by Jaclyn Reiss |  Globe Staff, December 21, 2013

Students at Watertown High School were ordered to shelter in place for four hours Friday and were dismissed early after a bullet was found in a classroom, according to police.

Lieutenant Michael Lawn said that a teacher found the bullet on top of a projector about 8 a.m. and that school authorities called police and notified parents with an automatic phone message. Police confiscated the bullet as evidence, Lawn said.

That could have been put there by anyone, especially authority figures interested in manipulating and conditioning the kids to accept this:

Police searched the building while students stayed in their classrooms. Police also used an X-ray machine to search student’s backpacks. But nothing more was found, Lawn said.

There were no injuries reported, and everyone was safe, Lawn said.

School authorities started dismissing students about noon, and the dismissal, which included the searching of backpacks, lasted until about 2 p.m. Teachers were briefed by police before being searched and dismissed about 2:30 p.m., Lawn said.

The lieutenant said that police did not know how or when the bullet was placed on the projector and that the incident is still under investigation.

Watertown residents are no strangers to sheltering in place. This is the town, after all, asked by Governor Deval Patrick to stay put April 19 as police searched for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who escaped during a shootout with Watertown police early that morning. Dzhokhar’s brother Tamerlan, also suspected in the bombings, was killed in the gunfight.

Now my feeling is this whole thing was a staged and scripted hoax by authority to reinforce certain things in the kids heads.

Authorities said Friday was the last day of school before the two-week winter break

What an impression to leave in the kid's heads at the end of the year, huh?

The message sent to parents said that school officials were dismissing students as quickly but orderly as possible “out of an abundance of caution.”

We got it.

The incident comes two weeks after the high school was evacuated and dismissed because of a bomb threat. Police and bomb squads searched the building after the threat came in Dec. 5 and found nothing

I'm sure the Globe covered it. I must have missed it. Probably among the pile of unread Globes.

Outside Watertown High School’s entrance Friday afternoon, dozens of students milled about. Many said they felt safe, adding that they were thrilled to get out of class early.

However, some students appeared distressed....

Other students were visibly distraught....

"Student charged with bringing unloaded gun to Dorchester school" by John R. Ellement |  Globe Staff, December 20, 2013

A student at Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester allegedly brought an unloaded revolver into the school and bit a Boston police officer on the wrist as officers tried to wrestle him to the ground and remove the gun from his backpack, said Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office.

The 17-year-old student was arraigned Friday in the juvenile session of Dorchester Municipal Court, where he faced charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest, prosecutors said. The teenager pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash, and he was ordered to stay away from the school, prosecutors said. His name was not released because he is being prosecuted as a juvenile.

According to prosecutors, the teenager bragged to classmates that he had sneaked a gun into school in his backpack.

Kids really are stupid these days.

So is it the prescription pharmaceuticals, chemicals in the food and environment, the crap ejewkhazion system, or the whoreporate pre$$ that is responsible?

About 2 p.m. Thursday, police located the student in a classroom.

As they approached him, he “became tense and combative’’ and reached into the backpack, prosecutors said.

“During a violent struggle with police, the teen bit one officer on the left wrist,’’ prosecutors said. The teenager also suffered a head cut during the struggle and was treated at the scene.

Authorities said the gun had been painted black, pink and white, which obscured the make, model and serial number of the weapon.
