A 28-year-old Malden man was indicted after allegedly stealing more than $10,000 from banks in various Middlesex County communities during a three-week period, prosecutors said.
John Freni will appear in Lowell Superior Court on Tuesday on charges of unarmed robbery and intimidation to steal from a bank, Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan’s office said in a statement.
Freni was identified as the alleged robber of two TD Banks and three Eastern Banks after wearing similar clothing during each incident and using similar patterns of conduct, prosecutors said....
