I'm not listening:
"R.I. talk radio host apologizes for vulgar comment" by Michelle R. Smith | Associated Press, December 07, 2013
PROVIDENCE — A talk radio host who has made derogatory remarks in the past that have landed him in hot water apologized Friday for calling protesters at a political event ‘‘union hags’’ and ‘‘whores,’’ but critics insist he should still be fired.
I don't know why he is in hot water because the Globe says unions disrupt the fabric of life (is it a whoreporate pre$$ or what? Of course, they are the workers friend, right? They love janitors and fast food as a career, the wealthy elite do) even as the subcontracted illegals(?) pull down between $53,307 to $63,640 (with full benefits).
I mean, these god-damn unions broke Detroit and will break Boston given time. They have already broken my state, according to its flag$hit pre$$.
WPRO-AM host John DePetro called in to his morning show and told a fill-in host that he regretted not choosing his words more carefully in September.
‘‘The language I used was not in keeping with the family-friendly atmosphere that I try to maintain for the thousands of people who listen to me,’’ DePetro said. ‘‘Going forward, I intend to approach debates on the current topics that we talk about in a more sensitive style.’’
First of all, I'm not a radio show, and secondly, I never claimed to be family-friendly. Turns out the truth is anything but.
The show is heard across Rhode Island and in parts of Massachusetts. Prior to his WPRO show, DePetro was fired from Boston’s WRKO-AM after he called a gubernatorial candidate a ‘‘fat lesbian.’’ He later apologized. He had earlier been suspended from WRKO and ordered to apologize after calling the head of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority at the time a ‘‘sissy boy.’’
During his WPRO show in September, DePetro called protesters outside a fund-raiser for a potential gubernatorial candidate parasites, cockroaches, ‘‘union hags,’’ and ‘‘w-h-o-r-e-s,’’ spelling out the word.
I've called Israel a parasite and have used the word whore in context with the pre$$; however, I haven't used those other terms.
The fact is, I've been blogging for way too long. I'm nowhere near as vitriolic, profane, or strident in my commentaries as I once was years and years ago. I suppose being exhausted and jaded at the never-ending stream of lies, propaganda, and distortions will do that to a person.
The fact is blogging what is in the corporate pre$$ and Boston Globe serves a certain function in it only exposes what $hitters they are.
A group calling itself ‘‘For Our Daughters,’’ which is backed by labor unions, launched a social media campaign last month to get Rhode Island-based jewelry makers Alex and Ani to drop its sponsorship of the station.
I'm on your side but I'm not.
Maureen Martin, an official for the Rhode Island AFL-CIO and the group’s chairwoman, said Friday that DePetro’s apology was not good enough and that DePetro should be fired.
Labor is never happy, always complaining.
‘‘If he was actually sorry, he could have said that six weeks ago,’’ she said. ‘‘It’s just too little too late.’’
That's the way I'm feeling about my Glob!
DePetro has not been on air all week, but it is unclear whether he has been disciplined. The program director declined to comment.
Earlier this week, DePetro’s lawyer called the effort to get him fired a smear campaign. The lawyer, Timothy Dodd, also said that DePetro had filed a police report that morning after two men threatened him and told him they were going after him and would get him off the air. The East Providence Police have not released the report.
Union thugs!
--more--"
I'm not sorry for my comments, and stand by them. You don't like the truth? Too bad!
