A police officer who served as the town's school resources officer was placed on paid administrative leave last week after he sent an "inappropriate" text message to a 16-year-old high school student, police said. Officer Ken Groppi, 36, a five-year-veteran of the force and in his third year as resources officer at Plymouth North High School, was placed on leave Sept. 26 after the girl's friends told police of inappropriate communications he had with the girl the night before, said acting Police Chief Michael Botieri. He said that there were no accusations any physical contact occurred and that the officer will remain on leave pending the outcome of the investigation (Boston Globe)."
