BAGHDAD - A car bomb exploded yesterday in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, killing four civilians, police said, as the local government acknowledged it has yet to persuade frightened Christians to return to their homes. A police officer in Ninevah Province said the bomb went off in a parked car in a predominantly Sunni area of this city, where violence has continued against Christians and other religious minorities despite US and Iraqi military operations to chase out extremists. Also yesterday, Iraqi officials reported finding mass graves with remains of 34 people, most believed to have been Iraqi Army recruits waylaid three years ago by Al Qaeda gunmen as they traveled to a training base near the Syrian border (AP)."
