French Feast on Fast Food

Sacre bleu!!

"France tax cut will give diners a break; Price of going out expected to drop" by Matthew Saltmarsh, International Herald Tribune | May 3, 2009

And here we are here in Massachusetts going in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

Hey, I never eat out anymore -- even less so with the swine flu around.

PARIS - .... "It will bring a breath of fresh air to the sector...."

The change might persuade families to dine out more often....

What, a TAX CUT!!? Here that, Globe and government?!!!

Minimum value-added tax rates are governed by EU agreements, which can be changed only with the approval of all finance ministers....

Which is why YOU DO NOT WANT a North American Union, American!!!

A reduction in the tax would dampen inflation and put restaurants on par with the fast-food industry, which had benefited from a reduced tax rate for years.

Wow! McDonald's power reaches far!!
