Looting Lies of the Day
"March spending falls" by Jack Healy, New York Times | May 1, 2009
Workers earned less in March and consumers spent less, the government reported yesterday, with people socking away more money in savings accounts as they grew more worried about job losses. The report came a day after the government released figures showing an unexpected increase in consumer spending in the first quarter, offering one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dreary accounting of the country's overall economic output. But the monthly report released yesterday showed that while consumer spending rose sharply in January, its gains tapered off in February and reversed themselves in March....
Translation: The economy is sinking and the government and media keep lying about it.
No surprises anymore, not from the same s***ters who hid a recession/depression for ten months and are now telling us we are coming out of it.
Oh, it's a New York Times piece. That confirms it.
The Commerce Department reported that personal incomes fell 0.3 percent in March. Incomes have fallen in four of the last five months as employers trying to weather the recession cut pay, furlough workers, and cut jobs by the thousands.
Which means income likely fell much more -- something they will revise later when you ain't paying attention, 'murkn. You know, like opportunistically letting out a sneak cheek fart!
