Turning on the Taliban

That's what the lying, Muslim-hating, agenda-pushing, war-promoting, MSM would like you to believe. I mean, they are repeating it enough times.

"Pakistan unleashes key attack on Taliban; US backs escalated assaults in valley" by Zarar Khan and Chris Brummitt, Associated Press | May 7, 2009

TAKHT BAI, Pakistan - Pakistan launched air and ground attacks against up to 7,000 Taliban militants entrenched in a northwestern valley yesterday, killing dozens holed up at emerald mines and on forested hillsides following urgent US demands to step up the fight against the insurgents.

With militants fighting back and weary refugees lining up at camps, the operation will be a test of whether the army has the will, capability, and political support to defeat an enemy that had three months under a now-shattered peace deal to rest and regroup.

That is what MASS-MURDERING GOVERNMENTS also do!!!!

"It is an all-out war there. Rockets are landing everywhere," said Laiq Zada, 33, who fled the Swat Valley and is living in a government-run tent camp out of the danger zone. "We have with us the clothes on our bodies and a hope in the house of God. Nothing else."

Washington has said it wants to see a sustained operation in Swat and surrounding districts.

Yeah, the Pakistani government is MURDERING THEIR OWN (innocent, 9/11 an inside job) for YOU, 'murka!!! Ain't you proud!!?

Uprooting the insurgents from the valley will mean unpopular civilian casualties, property damage, and massive disruption to public life. That combination could tear at the resolve of government, which is struggling to convince the nuclear-armed Muslim nation that fighting the militants is in its interests as well as those of the United States.

After a while, you just get sick of seeing the repetitive war propaganda, don't you?

I do.

But there have been signs recently of a shift in the national mood against the Taliban after it got most of the blame for the collapsed peace process in Swat. A series of bloody terrorist attacks in the country's heartland province, Punjab, and the wide broadcast last month of a video clip showing the insurgents beating a women in Swat, also appear to have hardened the stance of politicians, clerics, and ordinary Pakistanis toward extremists.

So the LYING, AGENDA-PUSHING, MUSLIM-HATING, ENEMY-CREATING, WAR-PROMOTING, AmeriKan joosmedia tells us.

"Finally, it seems the authorities have realized the intensity of the threat and the mortality of danger," said Ishtiaq Ahmad, international relations professor at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. "That's why we expect the military to be a little more courageous and resolute this time."

Translation: If they don't kill their own people for us, we will overthrow them.

--more--"

Yeah, about those Taliban, btw:

"Something of a catchall term for loosely affiliated insurgents without a singular command structure. Often, the Afghan government favors the phrase 'enemies of the state' (New York Times July 24, 2007)."

"
The Taliban is growing and creating new alliances not because its sectarian religious practices have become popular, but because it is the only available umbrella for national liberation," says Pakistani historian and political commentator Tariq Ali. "As the British and the Soviets discovered to their cost in the preceding two centuries, Afghans never like being occupied."

Afghanistan's Other Government

And today, readers?

"More and more, people here look back to the era of harsh Taliban rule from 1996 to 2001, describing it as a time of security and
peace."

Oh, oh, oh!!!! I'm so offended by the AmeriKan MSM and its bullshit!

Here's the kicker:

"The U.S. government was well aware of the Taliban's reactionary program, yet it chose to back their rise to power in the mid-1990s. The creation of the Taliban was "actively encouraged by the ISI and the CIA," according to Selig Harrison, an expert on U.S. relations with Asia. "The United States encouraged Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to support the Taliban, certainly right up to their advance on Kabul," adds respected journalist Ahmed Rashid. When the Taliban took power, State Department spokesperson Glyn Davies said that he saw "nothing objectionable" in the Taliban's plans to impose strict Islamic law, and Senator Hank Brown, chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on the Near East and South Asia, welcomed the new regime: "The good part of what has happened is that one of the factions at last seems capable of developing a new government in Afghanistan." "The Taliban will probably develop like the Saudis. There will be Aramco [the consortium of oil companies that controlled Saudi oil], pipelines, an emir, no parliament and lots of Sharia law. We can live with that," said another U.S. diplomat in 1997."

F***ing MSM whores and liars!!!!!!!!!!

"Pakistan's prime minister announces military offensive; Calls on nation's people to unite behind forces" by Pamela Constable, Washington Post | May 8, 2009

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Pakistan's prime minister told the nation yesterday that the armed forces were being "called in to eliminate the militants and terrorists" who have forcibly occupied part of the country's northwest, sending thousands of civilians fleeing from the region in the past week.

It also represented the civilian government's formal green light for a full-fledged offensive by the military, which until now has been fighting only sporadically. Gillani called on all Pakistanis to unite behind the armed forces "to restore the honor and dignity" of the nation, the safety of citizens and the writ of the government. "We will defend every inch of our homeland at any cost," he declared.

By sacrificing innocent people because of our lies!

Gillani's address came on another day of intense but scattered clashes. Military officials said the army and other security forces had attacked militant positions with warplanes, attack helicopters, and tanks. They said they killed at least 80 Taliban fighters in Swat and Buner districts and nine soldiers died in an ambush and in other attacks. A son of a senior Islamist leader in Swat, Sufi Mohammed, was also reported to have been killed by army shelling....

No verification needed, MSM?

The announcement also came amid a massive exodus of civilians from the areas of Swat, Buner and Dir, where Taliban extremist forces have occupied villages and towns, attacked schools and police and terrorized the populace while trying to spread their radical version of Islam.

Have you had enough of the repetitive, Muslim-hating, jew garbage? Who set those guys up to begin with?

Gillani said the government has allocated $13 million to assist people fleeing from the area, in addition to assistance that is coming from the UN refugee agency and other charities. Camps have been set up in safe areas near the conflict zones, although the Taliban has blocked roads with trees and other barricades to prevent people from reaching them.

Yup, whether it is Tamils or Palestinians, and now Talibans, the jew war propaganda is always the same. Getting to smell like rancid, rotten, fetid feces, isn't it?

There was positive initial reaction to Gillani's speech from a variety of political leaders. Senior officials of the Awami National Party, which rules the North-West Frontier Province and sponsored the failed peace deal with the Taliban, said the government had taken the proper action and that extremist leaders had proven to be "hypocrites" by rejecting repeated government concessions.

What government concessions? Where?

I am SO SICK of this DOG CRAP passing itself as NEWS in my morning papers!!!

Gillani stressed that officials had preferred to seek dialogue to restore peace in the Swat region, despite strong international criticism of the deal, but that the militants had violated the agreement and left the government with no choice.

Yeah, sure they did -- amd AmeriKa didn't like it, thus the military assault!!

He appealed to the world to assist the internal refugees and "enhance" the capability of Pakistan's armed forces.

Oh, now the LYING, MASS-MURDERING PUPPETS want MORE MONEY and MILITARY AID, huh? CUI BONO?

How much military hardware does a Pakistanis life buy?

The International Committee of the Red Cross warned yesterday that the humanitarian crisis in the Swat region is intensifying and that additional food, shelter and medical aid is needed.

Well, the Red Cross; who can believe them?

There has been mounting domestic and foreign criticism of the government for failing to grasp the seriousness of the militant threat. Gillani's announcement made clear that after weeks of confused policies and fading hopes for reconciliation, the government is finally coming to grips with this internal menace....

Translation: they are finally murdering their own people as we asked them to.

--more--"

And the end result of all this?

Take a GOOD LONG LOOK, 'murka, and be proud of what our mas-murdering Paki puppets are doing!!

"Pakistan launches Taliban offensive; Military to stay in Swat Valley until peace is restored" by Pamela Constable, Washington Post | May 9, 2009

Residents of Pakistan's troubled areas of Mingora and Buner in Swat Valley queued up for food in a camp set up for people who fled the fighting between the Taliban and government forces. (Mohammad Sajjad/Associated Press)

Did you notice that they are ALL CHILDREN?

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - Pakistani military officials declared yesterday that they had launched a "full-scale offensive" against extremist Taliban fighters in the Swat Valley and said they plan to remain there until peace is restored and the area is back under government control.

The army's chief spokesman, Major General Athar Abbas, said at a news conference in this garrison city that 143 extremists had been killed in the previous 24 hours. He said as many as 15,000 soldiers and other security forces were battling about 4,000 fighters, whom he referred to as "miscreants" and "antistate elements."

Then why are you guys having so much trouble? Just yesterday the MSM claimed 7,000 fighters. That's a pretty big discrepancy, isn't it? Kill 3,000 overnight, or are we just be shoveled the usual shit, MSM?

And why not call them Taliban like everyone else?

Abbas said the military, which has engaged in sporadic fighting in Swat for the past week, is stepping up its actions on the orders of civilian authorities. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani announced on television Thursday night that the army had been ordered to launch a major operation against the extremists, after they refused to disarm despite an agreement with the government.

Of course, governments never have to disarm or renounce violence.

Pffft! Fuck them!

The army's announcement of a stepped-up assault came amid a continued outpouring of refugees from the conflicted region near the Afghan border. Since early this week, hundreds of thousands of people have been struggling to reach government camps hastily set up in safer districts.

Yeah, isn't that a great government to set up those camps?

Of course, that wouldn't be necessary if they weren't bombing the place, but who wants to argue with a lying, agenda-pushing, war-promoting, mouthpiece media.

Many of those attempting to flee have been stranded by Taliban roadblocks and a lack of transportation. Some refugees told journalists yesterday that they had been trapped between the Taliban and the army, or that they had been forced to walk many hours to safety.

UN officials in Geneva yesterday expressed concern for the welfare of up to a million people who may be displaced by the fighting. The Pakistani government has appealed for more international support to assist them.

Ever notice this shit happens right in the midst of the U.N and they never do a damn thing about it? Maybe there is a connection: where the U.N goes, misery follows!

Military spokesmen said yesterday that Taliban forces had looted banks, attacked schools, and ambushed military convoys in Swat and the neighboring districts of Buner and Dir. They said Pakistani forces were fighting back with attack helicopters, tanks and ground forces.

Well, the Taliban have every right to attack the military convoys (underreported in AmeriKa's war-promoting jewsmedia), and as for the rest, I'm not believing it anymore.

Abbas said that the extremists were using "innovative" explosive devices, such as placing nails inside pressure cookers, and that several soldiers had been killed in the past day.

That's what the TANKS, HELICOPTERS, and AIRPLANES are threatened by? If it were NOT SO FATAL this would be LAUGHABLE!!

The translation is: THESE ARE PEOPLE FIGHTING TO PROTECT THEIR HOMES and FAMILIES!!!

This is the THREAT? Nails from a pressure cooker? Puh-lease!!!!!!!!!!

He also said the Taliban had forcibly recruited young boys in Swat. "They knock on people's doors, and they give the families no choice," he said.

Yup, there go the Muslim-hating propagandists again.

Btw, WE also recruit young boys for war, 'murkns!

We do it in HIGH SCHOOLS!!!!!

Abbas said he did not know how long the new operation would last, or if it had even been given a name, but he said it was limited to clearing the Swat area of all militant presence.

Yeah, a NAME is IMPORTANT!!

We ALWAYS LABEL our MASS-MURDERS, 'murkn!!!!

The army has conducted similar operations in the past but then backed off amid public anger over bombing casualties and humanitarian suffering.

Why would they be WORRIED ABOUT THAT when they are LIBERATING the REGION from the hated Taliban, huh? Unless the AmeriKan joospress is LYING AGAIN!!!!!!

The army's announcement appeared coordinated with Gillani's address to reinforce the impression of civilian authority over the armed forces, after a period of public confusion and frustration over the lack of leadership by President Asif Ali Zardari. Zardari was in Washington this week to discuss the issue with top US officials.

Was/is the U.S. getting ready for another coup?

That's how we brought Musharaff to power!!!!

Both Gillani and Abbas stressed that the government had given ample chance for the peace accord, originally brokered in January, to succeed before turning to force. Both officials said the accord had been violated repeatedly by the fighters, who refused to disarm despite numerous government concessions....

I'm so sick of government's and their lies.

The decision to launch the military operation has received widespread public support and has been endorsed by most major political groups.

They SURE ARE PUSHING THAT HARD -- which leads me to believe it's another damnbale joopress lie!!!
