"Iraqis move contractors to US custody
BAGHDAD -- Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has warned that violence was expected to rise as militants try to undermine confidence in the government ahead of the US withdrawal deadlines and national parliamentary elections set for Jan. 30.
And HE IS LAUGHING about it!!!!
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said he expects a spike in violence.
HOW'S THAT OTHER INVESTIGATION GOING?
Never FOLLOWED UP, was it (which tells you it was a GOVERNMENT DEATH SQUAD)!!

Seven US-allied Sunni fighters were killed by gunmen in separate attacks yesterday north of Baghdad. Six of the men were killed when gunmen ambushed a minibus carrying them west from the town of Mandali near the Iranian border....
Sheik Talab al-Nidawi: "I feel bitter over the targeting of those trying to spread peace and security in the area, but we will keep chasing the terrorists wherever they are."
Getting sick of the propaganda yet?
I mean, hey, I BELIEVE PEOPLE WERE KILLED but THAT'S ABOUT IT!
Another Sunni guard was killed and three others wounded when gunmen opened fire on their checkpoint in Tarmiyah, a local police officer said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to release the information. The slain men were members of Awakening Councils, armed groups that have joined forces with the Americans and the Iraqi government to fight Al Qaeda in Iraq. The groups have been key to a drastic drop in violence and have frequently been targeted by insurgents.
Yeah, SOMEBODY is TRYING to START SOMETHING -- JUST BEFORE we LEAVE (allegedly)!!
Gee, WHO would want to DO THAT, cui bono?

"Suspect arrested in Sunni lawmaker's death" by Associated Press | June 18, 2009
BAGHDAD - Iraqi commandos swept into a western Baghdad neighborhood yesterday and arrested a reputed Al Qaeda in Iraq leader suspected of plotting the assassination of a prominent Sunni lawmaker.
Officials said the suspect was also a member of a government-backed Sunni paramilitary group that has joined forces with the Americans against Al Qaeda, but that could not immediately be confirmed.
Yup, ONLY CERTAIN THINGS can't be confirmed! "Al-CIA-Duh suiciders" NEVER need qualifiers or verification.
Yeah, yeah, I AM SICK of the DOG SHIT served up as "news' in AmeriKa!
The brazen daylight shooting death of Harith al-Obeidi raised troubling questions about security two weeks before US troops are to withdraw from urban areas, and officials have been eager to find those responsible. The gunman died at the scene after detonating a grenade.
That puts us in mind for a FLASHBACK:
"Top Sunni lawmaker killed outside mosque in Baghdad" by Hamid Ahmed, Associated Press | June 13, 2009
BAGHDAD - The head of Iraq's main Sunni parliamentary bloc was killed in a bold daylight attack after delivering a sermon during Friday prayers at a mosque in western Baghdad, raising fears that insurgents are trying to rekindle sectarian violence.
What absolute garbage!
A gunman believed to be as young as 15 shot Harith al-Obeidi as he left the mosque and walked toward his nearby home, police said.
That ties RIGHT IN with the AmeriKan PROPAGANDA PUSH on this very blog!
There were conflicting accounts about what happened next.
Yeah, because you have MSM SHIT on one hand and the TRUTH on the other!
Guards at the scene said the assailant was chased a few hundred yards down the street, then detonated a grenade, killing himself and an undetermined number of pursuers. But an Interior Ministry official said guards killed the attacker after he threw the grenade during a shootout.
Where is that salt shaker?
At least four other people, including a worshipper, were killed and several others were wounded, according to the official, who read details from the police report on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release the information.
"While we were leaving the mosque we heard a gunshot fired, followed by an explosion," said Majid Hameed, a 50-year-old worshipper wounded in the shoulder by shrapnel. "I blame the security forces for allowing gunmen to enter the neighborhood even though all entrances are blocked by checkpoints."
HOW MANY TIMES you gotta SEE IT, 'murkn?
Obeidi, who led the Iraqi Accordance Front, was known as a fierce advocate of prisoners' rights - a divisive issue in relations between the disaffected Sunni Muslim minority and the Shi'ite-led government.
Oh, sure, it was "Al-CIA-Duh" that killed him, yup!
SMELLS like a GOVERNMENT DEATH SQUAD to ME!!!!
He championed their cause to the end, saying in his sermon that "nobody dares to tell the ruler that such imprisonment is wrong."
Except him, and look at what happened.
The brazen shooting followed a spate of high-profile bombings that US and Iraqi officials have warned are part of an effort by insurgents to re-ignite sectarian violence and undermine confidence in the Shi'ite-led government.
Wouldn't they WAIT until we LEFT?
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who warned a day earlier that violence was likely to increase ahead of the parliamentary vote set for the end of January, promised an investigation into the attack.
And sure enough, it did!!!
As for the investigation, see: Occupation Iraq: Government Hit Squad Killed Reporters
Never went anywhere, did it?

"This cowardly crime is a futile attempt to incite sectarian rifts among the Iraqi people and to prove that terrorist organizations are still there after these organizations have received hard punches by our armed forces," he said in a statement read on Iraqi state TV.

Are we CLEAR, readers?
Gee, STRANGE how THAT only garners a BRIEF in my lying, Muslim-hating, war-promoting, agenda-pushing, Zionist jewspaper, huh?
"Lawmakers decry slaying of Sunni
BAGHDAD - The government blamed Al Qaeda in Iraq yesterday for the killing of a prominent Sunni lawmaker, as political figures came together across sectarian lines in a show of solidarity against a return to violence. Sunni and Shi'ite lawmakers called the slaying of Harith al-Obeidi, the leader of the largest Sunni bloc in Parliament, an attack against moderation, as they took turns at the podium to call for a united front against terrorism (AP)."
Need I type more?
Okay, let's see if the Zionist slop sheet will CENSOR the SECTARIAN UNITY:
Iraqi forces wearing black masks and helmets stormed the suspect’s house in the mainly Sunni neighborhood of Ghazaliyah while he was eating lunch with his wife and three children.
Pffft!
They couldn't have just shown up and knocked on the door, huh?
IN FRONT OF his WIFE and KIDS?
Maliki is an ASSSSSSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The troops met no resistance as they handcuffed and blindfolded the man, searched the house, then escorted him to their Humvees parked nearby. The operation lasted about 15 minutes. The commandos were tipped off by the owner of the murder weapon - who gave them the suspect’s name after being arrested himself.
Uh-oh!

You mean TORTURED, don't you?
"Iraq unveils extent of prisoner abuse" by Associated Press | June 17, 2009
BAGHDAD - Iraq’s interior minister said yesterday that more than 40 police officers face charges after an investigation into prison abuse found inmates incarcerated without warrants and others with their rights violated.
Jawad al-Bolani’s announcement came as the government tried to contain a scandal over charges of widespread torture in Iraqi prisons.
Hey, we trained 'em!
Aaaah, the FRESH SHIT-STINK of BUSH'S LIBERATION!
Bolani spoke during a tour of one of the most notorious prisons in eastern Baghdad, where prisoners were packed by the dozens into small cells.
But better than the Saddam times, right? Pffft!
Politicians loyal to Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr - whose followers were rounded up in droves last year as part of a crackdown against militia fighters - kept up their pressure on the government over prison conditions.
Oh, it was SHI'ITE TORTURING SHI'ITE, huh?
SEE WHAT HAPPENS when you DEAL with the DEVIL, Iraqis?
Sadrist lawmaker Ali al-Miyali told reporters yesterday that torture has been used to extract confessions in a prison in the southern city of Diwaniyah and other facilities. '
In other Iraq developments yesterday, a roadside bomb killed a US soldier near the southern city of Samawah.
Oh, yeah, the WAR!
Almost "FORGOT" about that, 'eh, MSM?
Sigh, pfffft, poot, crap!
