"Donations for N. Korea food aid dwindle" by Associated Press | July 2, 2009

BEIJING - The United Nations food agency cannot feed millions of hungry women and children in impoverished North Korea because international donations have dried up and the communist regime has restricted its operations, an official said yesterday.

Think of them as you are scarfing down those hot dogs and hamburgers, 'murka!

The World Food Program has received only 15 percent of the $504 million it needs to feed 6.2 million vulnerable North Koreans as the food situation worsens during a lean growing season before the November harvest, according to Torben Due, the food program’s representative for North Korea.

But we have TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS for WARS and BANKS!!!

Maybe the U.N. could SHOW the WHOLE COUNTRY a TABLE?

Can't take them seriously anymore, can you?

Due would not give a reason for the funding shortfall but said he understood that donors may be responding to the political situation in North Korea....

I am REALLY, REALLY starting to despise rotten politics!

Well, since they AREN'T GETTING the MEALS....

"N. Korea test-fires missiles off east coast" By Washington Post | July 3, 2009

TOKYO - North Korea continued to rattle its neighbors yesterday by firing four short-range missiles into waters off its east coast. The missile tests, reported by the South Korean news agency Yonhap, had been widely expected, since North Korea had warned ships to avoid the east coast through July 10 because of military exercises.

That doesn't sound like an unpredictable and irrational regime to me. Sounds like they are simply protecting their shipping lanes!

South Korean military officials have told news media in Seoul that the North may be preparing to launch a number of mid-range missiles in coming days, perhaps to taunt the United States on its July Fourth holiday. Tension has been building in Northeast Asia since early spring....

We ALL KNOW WHO is DRIVING that tension, too!!!

Now WHY this one didn't make my paper is be... oh, yeah, don't wanna spoil AmeriKa's birthday!

"N. Korea reportedly test-fires 3 missiles" by Associated Press | July 4, 2009

SEOUL - North Korea fired three missiles off its eastern coast today, South Korea said, in what could be viewed as a message of defiance to the United States on its Independence Day holiday.

The launches, which came two days after North Korea fired four short-range missiles, could further escalate tensions in the region....

Well, SOME sure are hoping, huh?

Speculation had been high that the communist country might launch more missiles in the coming days. North Korea had warned shipping to stay away from its east coast effective through July 10.

So WHATEVER HAPPENED to that FREIGHTER we were GHOSTING, anyway?

Just FADED into the FOG, 'eh, MSM?
