Let's give you the propaganda first:
"Honduras coup draws global ire; World leaders seek return of Zelaya as the president" by Will Weissert and Freddy Cuevas, Associated Press | June 30, 2009
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras - Police fired tear gas to hold back thousands of Hondurans outside the occupied national palace yesterday as world leaders from Barack Obama to Hugo Chavez appealed to Honduras to reverse a coup that ousted the president....
This reminds me of when the U.S. tried to get rid of Chavez and the Venezuelan peoples' reaction (or Aristide in Haiti, for that matter).
And about Obama's criticism of his CIA's coup: It’s Official! Washington D.C. a Liar
Zelaya was arrested in his pajamas by soldiers who stormed his residence and flew him into exile. Central America’s first coup in at least 16 years was a blow from the barracks that reminded many of the military dictatorships the region has tried to bury in its past....
Zelaya attended a meeting in Nicaragua of a bloc of nine leftist nations, which agreed to remove their ambassadors from Honduras until Zelaya is restored and to reject diplomats from the replacement government....
Outside the presidential palace, a crowd that burned tires and blocked streets grew into the thousands by midday. At one point, riot police posted between troops and protesters fired several cannisters of tear gas and reporters saw at least five people detained. There were no reports of broader disturbances.
“We want our elected and democratic president, not this other one that the world doesn’t recognize,’’ said Marco Gallo, 50, a retired teacher. Most people in the capital went about business as usual. Nearly all businesses were open and traffic flowed normally aside from a small part of downtown Tegucigalpa....
The Organization of American States called for Zelaya’s return and summoned a meeting of foreign ministers today that could make Honduras the first nation suspended from the organization under a 2001 charter banning “the unconstitutional interruption of democratic order.’’ UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Rio Group, which comprises 23 nations from the hemisphere, also condemned the coup and called for Zelaya’s return.
US diplomats said they are trying to ensure Zelaya’s safety and get him restored as president.Yeah, SURE!!

Now let's let the BLOGS tell you what the MSM will not:
"Obama's First Coup d'Etat
The text message that beeped on my cell phone this morning read "Alert, Zelaya has been kidnapped, coup d'etat underway in Honduras, spread the word." It's a rude awakening for a Sunday morning, especially for the millions of Hondurans that were preparing to exercise their sacred right to vote today for the first time on a consultative referendum concerning the future convening of a constitutional assembly to reform the constitution. Aangirfan: CIA TOPPLES HONDURAN PRESIDENT TO PROTECT DRUGS TRADE? Rebel Report: Live report from Tegucigalpa, Honduras (Video). + A Few Thoughts on the Coup in Honduras.
"CIA Topples Honduran President To Protect Drugs Trade?
"Actually, the CIA is sulking over not getting a coup started in Iran, so they decided to knock over Honduras just to make themselves feel better! Two of the coup leaders have been outed as graduates of the US "School of the Americas" at Fort Benning, aka the "School for Dictators." -- Wake the Flock Up
"US Govt. Confirms It Knew Coup Was Coming
A New York Times article has just confirmed that the US Government has been "working for several days" with the coup planners in Honduras to halt the illegal overthrow of President Zelaya. While this may indicate nobility on behalf of the Obama Administration, had they merely told the coupsters that the US Government would CUT OFF all economic aid and blockade Honduras in the event of a coup, it's almost a 100% guarantee that the military and right wing parties and business groups involved in the coup would not have gone through with it.
"Honduras-The CIA Never Quits The United States has a long history of interference in Latin America and the recent coup in Honduras may be part of that.
"If so, the CIA is 0 for 2 because the latest report is that the coup in Honduras has stalled and the President is planning his return." -- Wake the Flock Up
And let us not forget that it was John Negroponte (of U.N. and Iraq as well as National Intelligence Director under Bush) who ran the Contras out of Honduras during the 1980s in an attempt to destabilize and over throw the democratically-elected Sandinista government of Nicaragua (whom just so happened to toss the brutal, American-backed dictator Somoza).
