"Four Americans killed in Afghanistan blast; Investigation of election fraud nearly complete" by Robert H. Reid and Heidi Vogt, Associated Press | October 17, 2009

KABUL - A roadside bomb killed four American service members in southern Afghanistan, the United States yesterday....

Two of the US service members were killed instantly in the blast Thursday, and two others died of their wounds, the United States said in a statement. No further details were released....

Then WHY are you telling me on SATURDAY, Globe?

“Unfortunately, Afghanistan remains a dangerous place. We do try to take all the precautions that we can, and we are regularly readjusting our forces to better protect the civilian population here, and unfortunately that places our forces at risk,’’ Colonel Wayne Shanks, US military spokesman, said.

Elsewhere, four Afghans, including at least two civilians, died during a firefight yesterday between militants and a joint US-Afghan force in Ghazni Province. There were conflicting accounts of the battle.

Uh-oh! HOW MANY CIVILIANS did we waste?

The NATO-led coalition said two militants fired from a two-story building and troops shot back, killing two gunmen. “When the joint force entered the building, they discovered two civilians who subsequently died from their wounds,’’ the coalition said in a statement. “It is unclear if the enemy militants or the joint force are responsible for the deaths.’’

Okay, so THAT is the LIE VERSION.

General Khail Buz Sherzai, Ghazni police chief, said the dead were all civilians from the same family. Insurgent violence has increased across Afghanistan this year, coinciding with a boost in US military strength....

Yeah, there MUST BE A CONNECTION THERE, huh?

Btw, WHO are those TALIBAN AGAIN?

FLASHBACK
: Taliban I Told You So

Oh, they are JUST THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE and want to be LEFT ALONE, huh?

A UN-backed panel finished most of its investigation into whether the level of fraud in the August presidential election would force a runoff. Rising US casualties and the political crisis triggered by a fraud-marred election have prompted the Obama administration to review its entire Afghanistan war strategy, including proposals to send thousands more troops here or shift the focus to missile strikes and special operations raids against Al Qaeda figures in Pakistan. At the same time, international diplomats were urging the top two finishers in the August election to consider a power-sharing arrangement to avoid a costly and divisive runoff....

You know what? WHO GIVES a SHIT!

People are DYING and BEING KILLED and the stoo-pid MSM focuses on POLITICS!!!!
