Slow Saturday Special: Swine Flu Can Strike Anytime

I guess the MAN-MADE MUTATIONS are COMPLETE, 'eh?

So when are you sick psychopaths releasing the thing?

"Swine flu can cause viral pneumonia; WHO tells doctors to treat it quickly with class of drugs" by Rob Stein, Washington Post | October 17, 2009

WASHINGTON - The World Health Organization urged doctors yesterday to treat suspected swine flu cases as quickly as possible with antiviral drugs, warning that the virus can cause potentially life-threatening viral pneumonia much more commonly than the typical flu, sometimes in relatively young, otherwise healthy people.

“It’s not like seasonal influenza,’’ said Nikki Shindo, a medical officer in the WHO’s Epidemic and Pandemic Alert and Response Department....

Shindo’s made those comments at the conclusion of a special three-day meeting in Washington of more than 100 specialists from around the world.

First I heard of it in the paper.

The WHO called the meeting to review the latest research on the H1N1 virus and to revise guidelines for treatment. Unlike the seasonal flu, Shindo said, the virus appears more likely to travel deep into the lungs, where it can cause viral pneumonia. Such a condition can cause severe lung damage and a life-threatening condition known as acute respiratory distress syndrome....

Shindo noted that some hospitals in Australia and New Zealand were severely strained by seriously ill swine flu patients during their winter, which recently ended....

Yeah, well, you sick f***s ain't getting a needle in me.

And it looks like MAINE LUCKED OUT!

"Seasonal vaccine shipments delayed

Roughly half of Maine’s seasonal flu vaccine doses are late and may not arrive until late November, after the swine flu vaccine is distributed. The Maine Center for Disease Control had urged people to get vaccinated early, but many people are finding that the doses are unavailable. Dr. Dora Anne Mills told the Bangor Daily News that the delay is caused by a bottleneck in the manufacturing process (AP)."

Don't worry; you will THANK THEM LATER!!

Of course, the agenda-pushing Globe DID run THIS as a FRONT-PAGE SPECIAL!

"Companies try to get a jump on swine flu" by Katie Johnston Chase, Globe Staff | October 15, 2009

Local employers are gearing up for the H1N1 influenza virus....

So far this season, the city has not been as hard hit as many other areas across the country....

If an entire department is out sick, other employees may be asked to pick up the slack. Jessica Shaffer, the executive assistant to Leader Bank president Sushil Tuli, has been trained to help in the accounting, mortgage, and human resource departments, and is prepared to perform different tasks if her co-workers get sick. “I find it fulfilling,’’ she said of her ability to wear different hats at the bank. “It keeps me from getting bored.’’

Notice how the paper ALWAYS QUOTES GOOD SLAVES?

Yeah, we are all bored. I sure would like to be; however, the poop-putters at the newspaper are making that impossible.

As part of its emergency plan, Leader Bank has determined the minimum staffing it needs to operate a branch - one teller, one manager, and one customer service representative, instead of the usual six employees - and has two employment agencies on call, as well as employees from Leader Mortgage, who can fill in if needed.

How appropriate the Globe went to a BANK, huh?

The H1N1 vaccine is not widely available yet, but many businesses are providing seasonal flu shots to their employees and to the public. In addition to cross-training more landscapers to operate snowplows, Massport, which runs Logan International Airport, is offering $25 seasonal flu shots not only to the 20,000 airport workers, but to the passengers in Terminal C, as well - and may expand its flu shot locations as the H1N1 vaccine becomes available.

Translation: DON'T GO to the AIRPORT and DON'T TAKE a FLIGHT on a PLANE!

“There’s just a lot of concern out there about how this virus is going to react, and we’re just feeling like we need to be responsible, good citizens,’’ said David Gambone, Massport’s director of human resources....

And who could argue with that, huh?

Eileen D’Amico, a longtime administrative assistant at Foley Hoag, also appreciates the firm’s efforts, which include administering seasonal flu shots....

It is important for businesses to take these steps to show their employees that they are responsible and socially aware, said business consultant Amy Cooper Hakim, founder of the Cooper Strategic Group in Boca Raton, Fla....

So it is OKAY if you TURN the SHOT DOWN, right?

And here is something you MAY NOT HAVE READ ABOUT (and something you may) in the Boston Globe:

"California Swine Flu Checkpoint Identified?; Man claims armed military personnel at roadblock forced people to enter mobile trailers

The testimony of a woman who claimed she was part of a military drill in California centered around setting up roadblocks to check if people had received the H1N1 vaccine has potentially been validated with another report of a swine flu checkpoint near San Diego.

Earlier this month we reported on the You Tube video of a woman who claimed to have taken part in an Army exercise which involved setting up roadblocks and checkpoints so authorities could check who has received the swine flu vaccine. Those who have had the shots will be fitted with an RFID bracelet so they can be tracked. Those who have not taken the shot will be offered it there and then and if they still refuse, will be carted off to an internment camp, according to the woman.

Former Kansas state trooper Greg Evensen spoke of similar checkpoints recently, when he told an audience in West Virginia that preparations to enforce mandated vaccinations were being focused around preventing those who haven’t had the shot from traveling.

“I have been told by state troopers across the country that there are plans ready to be implemented that would include roadblocks and choke points as we call them, major interstate junctions around major cities and so forth where the greatest number of people can be held until they prove their vaccination by papers,” Evenson said, adding that permanent RFID bracelets would then be used to identify those who had taken the shot.

“I have been told that the plans would include buses standing by for people at roadblocks that refuse to take the inoculation,” added Evenson, saying that such refusniks would then be taken to military bases and imprisoned.

“Get your shot or get on the bus, that’s what’s coming,” warned Evenson.

Authorities in Boston have already trialed RFID bracelet technology, with the purpose of creating a “vaccination map” charting which people have taken the vaccine and which have not, or “creating a citywide registry of everyone who has had a flu vaccination,” as a Boston Globe article describes.

Participants were given a bracelet with a unique identifier code, exactly as described in the You Tube clip of the woman’s testimony. We have now received yet another report of a roadblock staffed by armed military personnel centered around checking whether people have received vaccines....
