Operation Iraq: Blessed Blackwater

Yeah, we hear all this talk about U.S. transparency and accountability, and that's all it is -- TALK!!!!

"Repeated government missteps.... prosecutors ignored the advice of senior Justice Department officials and improperly built their case on sworn statements that had been given under a promise of immunity.... purposefully flouted the advice’’"

Oh, the GOVERNMENT PURPOSELY F***ED UP the case so they could COVER IT UP!!!

"Charges against 5 Blackwater guards tossed; No ruling on killings in Iraq" by Matt Apuzzo, Associated Press | January 1, 2010

WASHINGTON - A federal judge threw out all charges yesterday against five Blackwater Worldwide security guards accused of killing 14 unarmed Iraqi civilians in a crowded Baghdad intersection in 2007.

Citing repeated government missteps, US District Judge Ricardo Urbina dismissed a case that had been steeped in international politics. The shooting in busy Nisoor Square inflamed anti-American sentiment abroad. The Iraqi government wanted the guards to face trial in Iraq and officials there said they would closely watch how the US judicial system handled the case.

Looks like we failed, 'eh, Iraqis?

Urbina said prosecutors ignored the advice of senior Justice Department officials and improperly built their case on sworn statements that had been given under a promise of immunity. “The explanations offered by prosecutors and investigators in an attempt to justify their actions and persuade the court that they did not use the defendants’ compelled testimony were all too often contradictory, unbelievable, and lacking in credibility,’’ the judge wrote....

Sounds like an AmeriKan newspaper!

The shooting led to the unraveling of the North Carolina-based company, which since has replaced its management and changed its name to Xe Services....

Yeah, CHANGING a NAME is an "unraveling."

Pfffft!

The case fell apart because, after the shooting, the State Department ordered the guards to explain what happened. In exchange for those statements, the State Department promised the statements would not be used in a criminal case. Such limited immunity deals are common in police departments so officers involved in shootings cannot hold up internal investigations by refusing to cooperate. Because of the immunity deal, prosecutors had to build their case without those statements, a high legal hurdle that Urbina said the Justice Department failed to clear.

So the government WANTED to F*** UP this case!

Prosecutors read those statements and used them to question witnesses and get search warrants, Urbina said. Key witnesses also reviewed the statements and the grand jury heard evidence that had been tainted by those statements, the judge said. The Justice Department set up a process to avoid those problems, but Urbina said lead prosecutor Ken Kohl and others “purposefully flouted the advice’’ of senior Justice Department officials telling them not to use the statements.

It was unclear what the ruling means for a sixth Blackwater guard, Jeremy Ridgeway, who turned on his former colleagues and pleaded guilty to killing one Iraqi and wounding another....

Yeah, the guy with a conscience will go to jail for confessing!

That's AmeriKan Justice!!

So how did the Iraqis react?

"Blackwater case angers Iraqis; US judge’s ruling to drop charges sparks outrage" by Rebecca Santana, Associated Press | January 2, 2010

So am I, and I'm not even an Iraqi!!!

BAGHDAD - Iraqis seeking justice for 17 people shot dead at a Baghdad intersection responded with bitterness and outrage yesterday to a US judge’s decision to throw out a case against a Blackwater security team accused in the killings.

The Iraqi government vowed to pursue the case....

How? U.N.?

Many Iraqis also held up the judge’s decision as proof of what they had long believed: US security contractors were above the law.

As are ALL AmeriKan forces, it seems.

“There is no justice,’’ said Bura Sadoun Ismael, who was wounded by two bullets and shrapnel during the shooting. “I expected the American court would side with the Blackwater security guards who committed a massacre in Nisoor Square.’’

What happened on Nisoor Square on Sept. 16, 2007, raised Iraqi concerns about their sovereignty because Iraqi officials were powerless to do anything to the Blackwater employees who had immunity from local prosecution.

They can't even kick 'em out.

The shootings also highlighted the degree to which the United States relied on private contractors in the Iraq conflict.

And EVERYWHERE, for that matter.

Blackwater had been hired by the State Department to protect US diplomats in Iraq. The guards said they were ambushed at a busy intersection in western Baghdad, but US prosecutors and many Iraqis said the Blackwater guards let loose an unprovoked attack on civilians using machine guns and grenades....

The shootings led the Iraqi government to strip the company of its license to work in the country, and Blackwater replaced its management and changed its name to Xe Services....

How harsh.

"Maliki to press Blackwater case" by Associated Press | January 5, 2010

BAGHDAD - The prime minister vowed yesterday to seek punishment for the Blackwater guards accused of killing 17 people at a busy Baghdad intersection after US courts dropped the case in a decision that outraged many Iraqis.

Nouri al-Maliki’s comments were his first public reaction since a US judge threw out the case against the five Blackwater guards last week.... The prime minister spoke during a visit to the southern city of Najaf to meet with the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani.

So what did they talk about?

"
2 Blackwater guards among dead at Afghan CIA base" by Mike Baker, Associated Press | January 6 , 2010

RALEIGH, N.C.: Two of the CIA workers killed in Afghanistan were private contractors with the security company formerly known as Blackwater..... Xe spokesman Mark Corallo declined to confirm whether the men worked for the North Carolina-based company."

CIA, Blackwater, diplomat, businessmen, kids hiking, whatever.

From NOW ON I WILL SEE ONLY SPY COVER for a BLACK OPS, etc!

If it MAKES the PAPER it MUST be a BLACK OP or FALSE FLAG the agenda-pushers are either boasting about or using to advance the agenda again!
