Stoning Spat

Readers, I in no way endorse the stoning of women (or anyone else, although sometimes that's all you have to throw at occupation forces in Kashmir and Palestine); however, I was just wondering how many women have been shredded by French troops in Afghanistan.

What you realize is the AmeriKan MSM has become something akin to a Monty Python movie where the
French fart in your general direction since the war plans with Iran were put on the shelf until after the American elections (with the reservation that Israel may run another false flag at America anytime).

Their war isn't getting any traction because they lied about Iraq and no one is buying the latest batch of lies about Iran.

Thus we get stories like these:

"Iranian media call Sarkozy’s wife ‘prostitute’" by Associated Press | August 31, 2010

TEHRAN — Iranian state media called Carla Bruni-Sarkozy of France a “prostitute’’ yesterday in an unusual attack on the wife of a world leader that shows deep anger over her support for an Iranian woman who faced death by stoning on an adultery conviction.

Better than being a
presstitute.

The wife of President Nicolas Sarkozy has condemned the stoning sentence against Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, which Iran temporarily suspended but did not throw out after an international outcry....

They haven't started throwing rocks yet?

Barbarians taking a day off, are they (the blog editor sarcastically added).

So where does she stand on the
veil?

Wow.

Who are the French to complain about anything?

The media attack was in response to an open letter Bruni-Sarkozy wrote to Ashtiani that was printed in several French news outlets last week. “How to remain silent after learning of the sentence against you?’’ Bruni-Sarkozy wrote, adding that the stoning would “deeply wound all women, all children, all those who have feelings of humanity.’’

And how about the drone missile attacks?

Or the WMD Israel dumped on Palestinians?

Or the WMD the U.S. has dumped around the world in the form of chemical defoliants for drug wars and depleted uranium used in the invasions?

I hate to keep beating a dead horse, readers; however, better that than the millions of dead Muslims on God's docket.

So have the Iranians killed this women yet or what?

"Iranian newspaper steps up its insults of French leader’s wife; Bruni-Sarkozy ‘deserves to die,’ publication says" by Thomas Erdbrink, Washington Post | September 1, 2010

TEHRAN — An influential Iranian state-run newspaper reiterated and expanded yesterday on its earlier derogatory remarks about Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, wife of the president of France, spurring Iran’s Foreign Ministry to warn news media to refrain from insulting foreign dignitaries....

I wish ours would stop insulting us, Americans.

The repeated allegations by the paper, which is headed by a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, indicate that hard-liners have launched an offensive against the mounting international criticism over the Islamic republic’s controversial capital punishments and family laws, Iranian activists say.

We get that stuff all the time over here!

We call it coverage of the war on terror and after a while you get used to the agenda-pushing, war-promoting stories.

And that is the Iran "offensive," huh?

Bruni-Sarkozy is an international figure who married President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008, and has had relationships with Mick Jagger, Kevin Costner, and Eric Clapton. In 2007, she told a French magazine she became easily “bored with monogamy.’’

Look, I'm not going to call her names but she has gotten around.

Heck, I'd settle for a little monogamy given the lack of activity around here.

********

Key elements of the case against Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, an Iranian woman convicted of adultery and sentenced to be stoned to death, are in dispute....

Her lawyer said she made the statements under duress after being tortured....

I really wish I could criticize; however, I live in AmeriKa and I was told at an EARLY AGE that PEOPLE WHO LIVE in GLASS HOUSES should not throw stones!

On Sunday, Iran’s judiciary issued a statement condemning international interference in the case and asserting that in 2005 Ashtiani had conducted an extramarital affair and drugged and electrocuted her husband with her new lover.

Hey, AmeriKa would do the same to anyone tampering with ours (unless it's Israel; then we just take care of it for them on the hush-hush).

“We are not duty bound to explain cases, but feel we have to enlighten the general public about her crimes,’’ the statement said.

Kayhan, which reflects the opinions of officials responsible for a crackdown last year on protesters disputing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s reelection, denounced Bruni-Sarkozy on Saturday as a “prostitute’’ who had “kicked up a human rights fuss.’’

Yesterday, the paper elaborated on its allegations.

“A study of Carla Bruni’s past history shows why this ill-famed woman is supporting an Iranian woman who committed adultery and participated in the death of her husband,’’ the paper wrote, quoting French tabloids that have written about Bruni-Sarkozy’s alleged extramarital affairs. “This shows that in reality she herself deserves death,’’ the paper said.

Actually, I'm against the death penalty because you can not correct that mistake.

I will caveat that, however, by saying I will not stand in the way of the collective will were the people to decide to separate the heads of war-criminals and financial looters.

Women’s rights activists in Iran say the allegations represent new efforts by some Iranian leaders to restrict women but also to confront foreigners who criticize human rights violations in the country.

So we should bomb them right away and fix everything.

Don't some people say death can be a liberating experience?

Sounds like something some killer came up with.

“Iran’s borders are not enough for them. They want to promote their ideas of Islam on a global level,’’ said Shahindokht Molaverdi, a member of the Islamic Women’s Coalition, a group of religious feminists that is lobbying against proposed changes in Iran’s family laws.

WHAT?!?!

Who have they invaded and driven out a la Israel lately?
